At Sunday July 24th’s Championship Wrestling from Hollywood tapings in Port Hueneme, Joshua Shibata made his debut for the promotion as an on camera interviewer, filling in for lead interviewer Grant Bacicco. Grant is currently on tour for his puppet work. What makes Joshua joining Championship Wrestling from Hollywood extra noteworthy for is that Joshua is a former contributor to the site.

In his time writing for Joshua wrote a wide range of columns but was most well known for his interviews.  He conducted interviews with wrestlers such as American Dragon (Daniel Bryan), Frankie Kazarian, Rising Son, and Josh Lazie among others.

In talking with Joshua Shibata on his new role with Championship Wrestling from Hollywood, he stated “this is an awesome opportunity that Dave Marquez gave me and I hope I impressed him and the CWFH fans.” When he was asked about how he was accepted in CWFH he replied “the CWFH locker room really took me under their wings and gave me a lot of advice and support, especially Joe Galli and Jonny Loquasto; the best broadcasting team out there.”

CWFH’s Dave Marquez, when reached for comment on how he sees Joshua’s role with CWFH, stated “Grant is our main interviewer, but there are times he’s not available. As you know Cathy Kelly was his second and she’s since signed with WWE. Currently we are auditioning several people to fill the position Kelly left open. I’m hoping Josh works out and that he’ll be a part of our team for a long while.”

I want to congratulate Joshua Shibata on getting this opportunity. He is a great person and is very passionate about wrestling and MMA.
