Lucha VaVoom events covered by LA Weekly, clips of crazy ass dives
Last week, Lucha VaVoom ran two sold out events at the Mayan Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. LA Weekly’s website has a photo gallery from the events. They also re-tweeted this video that was posted by Kikutaro on Twitter of Dragon Lee and Rey Horus doing some fucking crazy ass dives. The events also featured Joey Ryan and Colt Cabana as Matt Classic, but I haven’t been able to find much else information. If you went to these events, email Jay Cal or Steve with a recap or something.

PWG’s “Bowie” took place on Friday at Legion Larry’s Deathtrap, All Star Weekend 12 Lineups Announced.
PWG ran at Legion Larry’s Deathtrap aka The American Legion Post 308 in Reseda on Friday night. From various reports I’ve read, Chris Hero vs. Trent? was the match of the night along with Evil (Player) Uno vs. Mike Bailey. Roderick Strong defeated Drew Galloway to retain the PWG World Championship in the main event. After the main event, Adam Cole and Roderick Strong attacked Galloway before Zack Sabre Jr. made the save. Roderick Strong challenged Zack Sabre Jr. to a match next month. Some chick named Becky Lynch was there. She wrestles in some company called World Wrestling Entertainment. I heard she’s kinda popular.
Speaking of Strong vs. Sabre. Jr. 2, that match takes place at All Star Weekend 12 Night 2 on March 5th. Night 1 features the Young Bucks defending the PWG World Tag Team Championship against Matt Sydal & Ricochet, Roderick Strong in a non-title match against Mark Andrews, Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly vs. Tommy End (which should be fucking awesome), Chris Hero vs. Marty Scrull, and more. Night 2 features the Strong vs. Sabre Jr. rematch for the PWG World Championship, and two potential tag team titles matches. If the Young Bucks retain the PWG World Tag Team Championship on Night 1, they’ll face the team of reDragon (Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish) for the titles. If Ricochet & Matt Sydal win, they’ll defend the title against Chris Hero & Tommy End. Click here for the lineups for both events. Tickets go on sale February 18th, 2016 at 8:00PM PST at www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com. They’ll be sold out by 8:02PM PST.
Bro Kayfabe Bro: The Secret Identities of Dalton Castle’s Boys
Also at PWG’s “Bowie” last Friday night, Ring Of Honor star Dalton Castle made his PWG debut. He did his usual schtick, complete with two local workers dressing up as his “Boys” for this match. The workers who played Castle’s “Boys” at PWG’s Bowie were EWF regulars Archimedes and Prince Raccid Najar. They were the only local guys on the show. Well, besides Excalibur doing his usual thing and the referees (unless PWG has outsourced those spots too [I’M JUST KIDDING!]) but you get what I mean.
Pacific Coast Wrestling announces talent lineup for next show
The company that is run by a guy who wants to fight me…uh, that’s too broad. The company that is run by a guy who threatened me….that is too vague. The company that is run by a guy who threatened me on Facebook, THERE WE GO!
The company that is run by a guy who threatened me on Facebook, Pacific Coast Wrestling, announced their talent lineup for the next show. Besides MVP and The Almighty Sheik, the show is set to feature Scorpio Sky, Kenny King, Timothy Thatcher, Jeff Cobb, JR Kratos, Kevin Martenson, Willie Mack, and others. Haven’t seen any matches announced yet though. Their next show takes place at the Oak Street Gym on March 26th, 2016 in Torrance, CA. Visit www.pacificcoastwrestling.com for more information.
Excalibur on The Kept Faith Podcast
Last week, the voice of PWG, Excalibur, was a guest on a San Diego sports podcast called The Kept Faith. Excalibur talks about PWG, Bryan Danielson/Daniel Bryan’s retirement, the health risks involved in pro wrestling, and other things such as the Super Bowl, Cam Newton, and Mr. Baseball. Check out www.keptfaith.com or search for “The Kept Faith” Episode 35 on iTunes, Stitcher, or PodOMatic.
Interview Updates: B-Boy, Ray Rosas, and other stuff
The day I will be conducting an with B-Boy interview is going to be set soon, so if you want to ask him any questions, get them in now. If you got questions for B-Boy, Tweet @socaluncensored, hit up Facebook/SoCalUncensored, or submit your questions on the SCU message board here.
I’ll also be interviewing Ray Rosas sometime soon, and will be seeking fan questions for that interview as well. Expect more information on that interview soon. Also, Steve conducted an interview with SoCal Val last week. She loves SCU. Get us more hits, Val!
Shit Not Worth Writing Paragraphs About
- World Wrestling Entertainment ran in Bakersfield yesterday. AJ Styles worked the event, defeating another SoCal alumni The Miz. Another former SoCal regular on the event was Neville, who competed in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla as PAC. WWE will be running at the Honda Center tonight for Raw, and in Ontario at Citizens Business Bank Arena on Tuesday for a Smackdown taping.
- A female fan recently wrote a review of PWG’s last event, “Bowie.” You can read it here. I’m not sure, but I think this might be the first time SCU ever had a girl write a review or article on the site. Now I’m afraid of catching cooties.
- That’s assuming the author is actually a girl and not actually a guy pretending to be a girl. I know, I’m a paranoid mother fucker.
- Turns out she (assuming it’s a she) isn’t the first female to write for SCU. Thanks to Old Man River for that bit of info.
- Speaking of reviews, I wrote another Championship Wrestling From Hollywood review. I swear I’d be such a better booker than the guys they have running things now.
- Have you seen Razor Rizzotti’s Gut Punch Match? It’s pretty fucking awful!
Random Match Of The Week
This week’s random match of the week features my two next interview subjects, B-Boy and Ray Rosas going at it in a singles match in 2013 from SoCal Pro.
That’s it for this episode of Real Talk. If you don’t like what I say, fuck you!
