With the previous announcement of our main event featuring the first Openweight title defense from the Champion, Todd Medina vs “Scorpio” Sky Andrews, KINGPIN WRESTLING is proud to announce the semi-main event for BLOODLINES. Aaron “Hardcore Kidd” Aguilera vs Andrew Hellman. Click below for more details.Aaron Aguilera is a 10 year pro wrestling veteran. At 6’6”, 250 lbs he uses his height and reach to dominate his opponents with knees to the body. A trick he perfected during his time with the Inoki Doji in Los Angeles, Ca. From there, if his opponent is still game, he’s just a triangle away from victory.
“I don’t have a lot of submissions in my game, but the triangle is one of my favorites. It’s simple and works well for me with my build. Plus with my size, most guys don’t really expect me to be able to pull it off so, yeah…it works.”
Aaron “Hardcore Kidd” Aguilera has wrestled for WWE, ALL JAPAN, ZER01, IWA, EWF, PWG, WSX, and many Lucha Libre promotions in Mexico.
“I trained Japanese Shoot style at the Dojo. We were all introduced to it along with Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, and of course wrestling, so I’m comfortable with it. Don’t let the name fool you, I got skills!”
His opponent, Andrew Hellman is a free style fighter hailing from San Bernardino, Ca. With a strong collegiate wrestling base, Hellman is a classic student of the game who has taken that background and merged it with what works for him in other disciplines to become a dangerous wrestler.
“I prefer the term Free Style Fighter because I would never specialize in any one discipline. Wrestling may be what brought me to the dance, but that alone is not what’s gonna make me the Openweight Champ. And let’s face it, that’s what we’re all here for right?! I mean, that’s what this is all about!”
A 7 year pro who has wrestled for UPW, NWA, AWS, and ZER01, Hellman trains out of the EM Underground Training Center. While his ground and pound game has always been impressive, it’s his striking, that seems to be improving with each time he appears in the ring.
“I like to strike because as a wrestler, most people think that’s the area where you will be weak in, so they don’t really train for it. They know coming in that I’m gonna take them down, control them on the ground, and grind out a submission. That’s what they prepare for. But when they catch an open palm strike to the face, then they wake up and say [Wait a minute. It’s not suppose to happen like this].”
