Before we get to the preview of the first NWA Pro event at the new Alternative Wrestling Shop in City of Industry, CA we have two quick pieces of news:
– The fourth episode of NWA Pro Wrestling Showcase
is now available on mavtv.com! Check out all the action!– Congratulations to NWA Pro referee Robbie Deming who was recently elected Treasurer of the city of Beaumont, CA. Deming plans to continue his refereeing duties when available, but to primarily focus on repaying the voters of Beaumont by serving his new position to the best of his abilities.NWA PRO/ALTERNATIVE WRESTLING SHOW – “GRAND OPENING!”

The wait is almost over! This Sunday the brand new Alternative Wrestling Shop opens across the street from the old shop… but wait… the old shop inside Frank ‘N’ Sons Collectables Show is still there! What’s up with that? Here’s AWS Kingpin Bart Kapitzke with the answer:
“The old shop is still there during Frank ‘N’ Sons regular hours. I also have a new store with new products and a great selection of Wrestling, Star Wars and bunch of other cool stuff. We can set our own hours and there’s no Magic™ kids! Now get out of here, I still have a lot of work to do in order to open on Sunday!”

MAIN EVENT – OPEN INVITATION BATTLE ROYAL!
In the spirit of competition and new beginnings, Bart has opened up the AWS ring to ANY trained professional wrestlers who wish to partake in the contest. Those interested may enter by contacting NWA Pro officials at nwapro@hotmail.com.
Already entered in the contest are several NWA Pro and AWS regulars, some names and faces that haven’t been around for quite a while and some names that have never wrestled for either the National Wrestling Alliance or at the Alternative Wrestling Show. All are truly welcome! Confirmed so far:

AWS TAG TEAM TITLE – 3-WAY DANCE
Champions: Bo Cooper & Sexy Chino
Challengers: Los Chivos

AWS Tag Team Champions Bo Cooper & Sexy Chino, collectively known as Bump-N-Grind, face an uphill battle in their first title defense as they face not one, but two former title holders. Veterans Kayam & Enigma de Oro and upstarts Junior & R2K are both out to take the titles they were in a heated battle over just one year ago.
Human Tornado vs. Markus Riot
This appears to be a battle of polar opposites. Human Tornado is an established star throughout the world of wrestling. Markus Riot hasn’t wrestled outside of SoCal yet. Tornado was in the feature film Nacho Libre. Riot still gets carded at R-rated movies. Human Tornado cemented his status as a daredevil with his leap from the top of the steel cage during War Games. Markus Riot helped put the cage up. This would appear to be a mismatch. So why is this one of the matches NWA Pro officials are most anticipating? Because Markus Riot has improved leaps and bounds in recent months and he knows full well that a victory over Human Tornado would elevate him to a new level in the National Wrestling Alliances. On a day where the main event is an open invitation brawl, this match may provide the greatest opportunity for a breakthrough performance.
Midnight Dynamite vs. The Young Bucks
Charles Mercury & Johnny Paradise have battled on more than one occasion against Nick & Matt Jackson this year. These brutal encounters have left a lot of animosity between the two teams. Will the score finally be settled? Can Merc & Jerk get back on track? Can the Bucks continue their recent hot streak? Come on out and see for yourself!
Scorpio Sky vs. Bobby Jo Marshall
Back from self-imposed exile to his native Australia, Bobby Jo Marshall looks to pick up where he left off causing as much havoc and chaos as possible. His new target – Scorpio Sky. Sky is at the top of his game after his triumphant return to AWS at the last NWA Pro event inside Frank’N’Sons Arena. Folks, we have a potential show stealer right here!
Joey Ryan vs. ????
Once again NWA Pro Wrestling has given the enigmatic ???? the chance to prove himself. Will ???? finally show up as scheduled or will another wrestler take his place once again? With his tag team partner Karl “Machine Gun” Anderson off in Cincinnati defending his newly won NWA Heartland States title, Joey Ryan laid out the challenge to ???? when T.B.A. was unavailable.
ALSO SCHEDULED: Phoenix Star & Nikki take on Chilango & Rubi in mixed-tag action. Aussies AZ Vegara & Chris Vice face Pete Goodman & Preston Scott (w/Jason Bennett). AWS favorite Lil’ Cholo does battle with the returning Disco Machine. And in a battle of heavyweights The Awesome Plague goes toe-to-toe with Tommy Wilson!
So come on down and be among the first to check out Bart’s new AWS! The shop will not be open to the public until the following week, but all paid fans in attendance on Sunday will have first crack at the new shop and all the new merchandise! Remember to park at the other end of Frank’N’Sons and look both ways when crossing the street!
