According to Gary Yap, last week’s EWF 20th anniversary show was their largest draw in their long history of running a the Knights of Columbus Hall in Covina. It was standing room only, and they ended up having to open the doors so people could stand outside and see in.

Scorpio Sky versus B-Boy has been added to June 3rd’s EWF show at the Knights of Columbus in Covina. The show will also feature a rematch between “Uptown” Andy Brown and Gary Yap’s Man in Black for Brown’s EWF championship, and Adrian Quest versus Douglas James.

UIPW will be running at the Fox Theater in Pomona on June 11th. The show will feature the return of Volador Jr.

Championship Wrestling from Hollywood is ramping up their women’s division with the addition of Holidead on their May 15th tapings. She is also scheduled for May 20th’s Vendetta Pro show in Santa Maria.

Championship Wrestling from Hollywood recently added Tuff TV to their television clearance. Tuff TV is a broadcast digital network that is available in various cities throughout the U.S. In Southern California it is available in Los Angeles on digital 21.2. This week’s Lucha Underground will feature a SoCal legends match between Joey Ryan, Mr. Cisco (Lil’ Cholo), and Cortez Castro (Ricky Reyes).

Although not in SoCal, RAZE will be facing former UFC fighter Shayna Baszler on July 17th for PREMIER in Gilroy, CA.

UEW will be holding their two day cruiserweight tournament, the West Coast Cruiser Cup on November 11th and 12th. No participants have been announced.

According to Variety, a film about the life of Andre the Giant is under development. The film will be based on the graphic novel “Andre the Giant: Closer to Heaven” and his daughter will be a consultant on the film.
