SoCal News & Notes 03/31/2016

Just when you thought it was safe to return, SoCal News & Notes is back. Today we have updates on Lucha Underground, FCW, PCW, Vendetta Pro, EWF, and more. 

In Lucha Underground news Aztec Warfare 3 is scheduled to be taped on April 9th, to air in 2017.

WrestlingINC is reporting that Lucha Underground is close to a deal with Hulu to stream seasons 1 and 2, with an option for season 3.

FCW is planning on holding a two day tag-team tournament, likely during the summer or early fall, to crown their tag-team champions.

For those who asked, PCW did film their last show and it is currently being edited. They are currently still deciding whether they will release the show on DVD or online, or a combination of both.

EWF will have a rare San Diego show on May 5th at the FLUXX night club. The show will feature Mil Mascaras as host and he is scheduled to take part in the main event.

Vendetta Pro has a huge weekend next week, with their “April Cruel’s Day” show on April 8th, with SoCal Crazy defending the NWA Vendetta Pro title against Rik Luxury in the main event, followed by being part of two shows in Las Vegas as part of the Cauliflower Alley Club convention on April 10th and 11th.

Rankings for March have been posted. And it’s not even mid-June.

    Ryan Kidd pinned Tarasso. Joel Nelson beat Archemides. Espirito came out to challenge Archemides at Anniversary show . Mask vs mask.  Archemides said NO! Anthony Idol pinned So Cal Crazy with a power bomb. Gaston came out after the match and beat down Idol. Next up Ray Rosas vs  Man in Black. Gary Yap called it a Title match then yelled A0PRIL FOOLS!.  Lots of back and forth each getting the upper hand. Rosas tapped to the crossface. Gary Yap called out Andy Brown  .  Yap gave him a title shot. He hit Andy in back of head with the belt.TITLE SHOT! MIB took out Brown with a chair shot.       After intermission next match Ty Ray vs Fidel Bravo.  Ty Ray made Bravo tap with an arm breaker.   Semi main was a grudge match with lots of history. Mega King Thomas the 1st vs Brandon Gatson.  Lots of moves and counter moves. KING got the upper hand then Gatson got a second wind. Gatson hit 450 moonsault but couldn’t pin him.  This is awesome chants start.  Idol snuck in and hit Gatson on the ropes allowing Mega King to pin Gatson. Gatson stormed out with a chair in hand.  Main event was supposed to be Quest & Brown vs H.A.T.E. but due to earlier fight Quest came out alone vs Rico and Che.  HATE came out and double teamed Quest . Quest countered by knocking Rico out of the ring then dove thru ropes to knock down Che. He then flipped over other side of ropes on Rico. Quest looking good over 2 much bigger men. HATE now picking apart Qu est. TyRay came to plead with the ref then ran to the back and brought out Jesse Hernandez. He allowed Ty Ray to enter the match. Ty Ray took it to Hate but then got knocked down.  QUEST did  720 off top rope on Rico then pinned him to retain the EWF  tag belts.   William Gamble
