Burning Bridges
August 25th @ 8pm
American Legion Post 716

From the truly bizarre to the utterly brutal, BPW’s Red, White and Bruised delivered just enough intrigue and plenty of scintillating bloodshed to leave you wanting more, all the while wondering what’s around the corner? Well ladies and gents, Burning Bridges is just around the corner, and BPW has been keeping everybody guessing on what’s coming next. After Mikey and Loco’s classic 3 stages of hell matchup, will either man be the same? And what of the odd incident in the Working Dead/Darevkos match where a “zombie” interrupted the match and caused B-Boy and Kaddy to be counted out? Speaking of the shady Russians, Sasha and Alexis hosted two obviously rigged competitions in search of new contenders. How will James Morgan and Pinky factor in to Burning Bridges?
6-man Tag For Supremacy
Mikey O’Shea, Tito Escondido, & Nick Madrid vs. Rico Dynamite, Pinky, & James Morgan
Say what you will about him, but Burning Bridges marks the 11th month of Rico’s reign, and all that means is the champ just flat out gets it done! Because of that fact, the Heavyweight Title picture in BPW has never been more muddled. Several worthy contenders are jockeying for a chance to face Rico Dynamite: Mikey just defeated Loco in the aforementioned 3 stages of hell bloodbath, Tito is coming off a win against Tyler Bateman and was the last guy to dethrone Rico for the now defunct BPW Maximum Title, Nick Madrid was involved in a 3 month feud with the champ that never came to a head, James Morgan and Pinky were both benefactors of last month’s search for contenders. You get the idea, and the matchmakers have made this 6 man tag to attempt to clear it all up. As the old saying goes, this isn’t any normal 6 man tag! BPW has stated that whoever gets the winning pinfall or submission in this match will be declared the number one contender and will face Rico Dynamite in September at From the Ashes! If the champ happens to score the win for his team, then he gets to choose is own opponent for September! The variables in this match are mindblowing and too vast to explore, but the underlying theme here seems to be to the victor belongs the spoils!
BPW Ring Warrior Championship
Jeremy Jaeger(c) vs. Lucha Machine vs. ???
Before landing in the arms of “Top Shelf” Jeremy Jaeger, the Ring Warrior Championship was the vagabond of BPW belts. Every month or so there was a new champ, a product of the division’s 3-way format, and the average number of title defenses was 1. Jaeger is now in his 7th month as champ thanks in part to his buddies in The Greater Good, and one of his opponents just happens to be a former champ himself. Lucha Machine won the inaugural Ring Warrior Tournament last June to be crowned the first Ring Warrior Champion, and a year after losing the belt his BPW journey has brought him full circle. Levi Shapiro won his Ring Warrior match last month just like Lucha, but chose to defer his shot to September as a celebration of Yom Kippur. Therefore BPW has decided to throw a mystery contender into the mix just to spice things up! One thing you can always count on from BPW is surprises, and one can only guess who they have in mind. Perhaps a former Silverhearts tag partner?
BPW Tag Team Championships
The Suburban Commandos(c) vs. The Brothers Darevko
One year ago, Burning Bridges marked the debut of several BPW mainstays, including the tag team champions The Suburban Commandos. Fast forward to 2012 and it seems like D-Unit and T-Rent have had to deal with The Brothers Darevko ever since their arrival. The Russians just don’t seem to go away, and following last month’s controversial win against the Working Dead in what can only be described as “ZombieGate”, Sasha and Alexis find themselves as number one contenders. The Brothers Darevko always seem to be playing with house money with Commissioner Ramirez as their wild card, could this be the month they finally cash in on tag team gold?
Tyler Bateman vs. Sam Knight
Last we saw of Tyler Bateman, he and manager Raze were licking their wounds following his defeat at the hands of Tito Escondido in a Falls Count Anywhere barn burner. Both he and Raze suffered minor injuries, but the greatest pain may have been ending up on the losing end of an important feud between top contenders. Bateman will look to rebound back into the title picture with a victory, and standing in his way is none other than Sam Knight. “The Right Hand of God” was the first entry in the Ramirez Cup battle royale and lasted all the way until the end, when Pinky and The Nobodies stole the cup by paying off the Darevkos. One might argue that if this had been a legitimate competition, Sam Knight could have very well walked away the winner, and Sam seems poised and confident he can make a big splash in singles competition. The stakes are high, and on August 25th at Burning Bridges we will see which one of these men is ready to be considered a major contender!
