Jay Cal’s View #85

Willie Mack is your New NWA Hollywood International Television Champion and he’s also part of the Clip of the Week.  The 87% have spoken… and you probably already saw Joey Ryan on TNA tonight.  Carson of NWA Lonestar will be the guest on this week’s talkNWA, Good Luck to Ryan Kidd on your tour of the Midwest, Get well soon to Nick Lovin, and this week of wrestling.  Sorry for the delays, tech issues delayed getting this out sooner.
Clip of the Week
In celebration of the New NWA Hollywood  Television Champion, the clip of the week this week is dedicated to Willie Mack.  They’ve been calling his victory over Scorpio Sky “From The Front Frow, to the Main Event.”  Willie Mack a former Mach-1 Heavyweight Champion
For me, Willie Mack

87% Won’t be Denied
If you attended the NWA Hollywood Event Sunday you knew this was coming. Originally this edition of Jay Cal’s View was to be included prior to the TNA Impact Television.  Joey wanted the fans to take a photo of him inside the ring with a “See You Soon Impact, 87%”  sign.  One of the most captivating parts of TNA in recent weeks has been the introduction of more and more Indy wrestlers to its weekly telecast.  And although I don’t think we’ll ever see anything quite like the Monday Night Wars, TNA has done a lot to capture part of the excitement of tuning into RAW or NITRO to see who will make their next debut.  Tonight Joey Ryan returned to the Impact Zone to punch the taste out of the mouth of Al Snow… The 87% will no longer be denied… the question is, who is next?

talkNWA Guest
Last week we had a no-show from Tony Kozina, but had a lot of good conversation about what is next for the National Wrestling Alliance. This week we talk to Carson, from NWA Houston. Carson has embarked in a feud over he NWA Lonestar Championship. To call in and talkNWA, the nmber is 646-478-3019

Good Luck Ryan Kidd
Ryan Kidd embarked on what I believe is his first tour of the Midwest. Ryan Kidd shared on my podcast that he wanted to branch out of his Southern California roots. This weekend he’ll have matches at 3XWrestling, Magnum Pro Wrestling, and Adrenaline Pro Wrestling this weekend. Stay tuned to the FTW Hosted Podcast, TheTrashCast.

The Match That Stole the Show
This past weekend I was in Oceanside for the Shockwave show. I was really looking forward to Nick Madrid and Tommy Wilson, because I missed the match the last time around. I was absolutely not disappointed. When the Main Event features SoCal Crazy and Johnny Paradise, it really is hard to outshine that. But somehow Wilson and Madrid were able to do it. I’ve made it pretty clear that I’m a big fan of Nick Madrid, but I have to admit that I am probably as equally as big a Tommy Wilson fan. If you get a chance make sure you check him out soon. The Eight Man Elimination Tag was pretty incredible and intense. Jimmy Ray Walker subbed for Kid Caramba… and took a beating like a champ. The match between Aerial Star and Ric Ellis was really good too. Ellis bled the hard way, but the Crimson Mask didn’t slow him down at all. I was also really impressed with Andre Machievski as he was taking on the insanely quick Chris Kadillak. “The Polish Tyrant” has gotten quite a bit better and somehow kept up with Kadillak, they had an awesome finish that saw the Polish Pitfighter finish a match with a huge upper-cut that took Kadillak out, he sold it like a champ. Great Match. The show is shipping now, you can order here.

Injury Report
Best wishes and a speedy recovery to “Lovin” Nick Lovin who is nursing an injured neck, during the SoCal Pro Shocwave. It appeared the injury occurred on a tombstone piledriver delivered by SoCal Crazy. When I spoke to Nick Lovin he made it clear that he would be back in the ring as soon as possible and has a check up with his doctor on Friday afternoon to see how he is progressing and to discuss getting back into action.  God Speed Nick Lovin.
