BPW presents Red, White, & Bruised, July 28th

Battleground Pro Wrestling presents
RED, WHITE, AND BRUISED
July 28th @ 8pm
American Legion Post 716
3252 Florista St. Los Alamitos, CA

According to the BPW faithful, Legion Hall of Doom was our best show to date. However, BPW does not plan to rest on our laurels as the summer is just getting heated up for Red, White, and Bruised! The main event features the culmination of arguably the most heated feud in BPW history with Extreme Loco taking on Mikey O’Shea in a 2 out of 3 falls match. With his job secure following the glowing review of Those Guys, Commissioner Dan E. Ramirez is taking a vacation and leaving the Brothers Darevko in charge. Sasha Darevko has already released a video detailing the Russian brothers’ plans for Red, White, and Bruised, and there is no telling what other shady plans they have up their sleeves!

2 out of 3 Falls Mikey O’Shea vs. Extreme Loco

Ever since November Pain, these two have been locked in a blood feud for the ages. Now their bad intentions will come to a head in an all out war, and this is not your everyday 2 out of 3 falls match! The first fall will be a standard contest, but following that will be a hardcore rules match for the second fall and last man standing in the third. Needless to say, this will not be for the faint of heart, and there’s a good chance that neither one of these men will walk out of this match the same! Whoever does emerge the winner will be in prime position for number one contendership to the BPW crown, provided he can make it to the match!

The Brothers Darevko vs. The Working Dead

The Brothers Darevko believe that they are the rightful number one contenders to the Commandos’ tag titles. For that very reason they interrupted The Working Dead’s match with the Commandos, and this month they look to steal away BBoy and Kaddy’s spot at the top of the ladder of contenders with a win at Red, White, and Bruised. Sasha claims they are going to beat up the Working Dead and make them cry, but that is easier said than done. The size of the fight in BBoy and Kaddy more than makes up for the size disadvantage, as they showed last month against the much bigger Commandos. The Darevkos are in charge of the show, however, and you just never know what these two will do to pull out a win.

The Pussycat Challenge

Sasha and Alexis have given the champions the night off and have begun a search for new talent and contenders. Enter the aptly named “Pussycat Challenge”, where 6 wrestlers that are brand new to BPW will do battle in a gauntlet to decide who gets a BPW contract. 2 men will start off in the ring and will fight to a winner, then the next competitor will enter the ring. This process will be repeated until the last two remain, at which point the winner will receive the contract. Say what you want about the Russians, but this match is sure to bring BPW fans a fresh look at some new faces. If the Pussycat Challenge is half as entertaining as the graphic above, it is sure to be a treat that you don’t want to miss!

Battle for the Ramirez Cup

The announcement of another Battle for the Ramirez Cup surely sent shock waves rippling through the locker room of BPW and beyond. In case you have forgotten, the holder of the Ramirez Cup can cash it in for a title shot any time he wants. BPW held a similar contest last year at Burning Bridges in which Joey Ryan and Rico Dynamite were the last two left and eliminated each other at the same time, leading to a match at September’s From The Ashes. Rico Dynamite was victorious and claimed the cup, which he cashed in later that night on an exhausted Mikey O’Shea and won the BPW Heavyweight Belt. He has held it ever since, and now one lucky BPW competitor will get to jump the ladder and have a chance to do the same. News of this opportunity is no doubt reaching far and wide, and we are sure to see quite the cast of characters get in line for their shot at the Ramirez cup!

Nick Madrid vs Tito Escondido

Tito Escondido and Nick Madrid are both near the top of the BPW pecking order, both are fan favorites, and both men are looking to take the next step. Nick Madrid just fought for the BPW Heavyweight title 2 months ago, and a win over Tito will go a long way in getting him back to the top. Tito came out on top of a grueling feud with Tyler Bateman, and taking out Madrid will put him in prime position for a shot at Rico as well. Sasha basically made this match-up to mess with the fans and make them pick which man they like better, but he may have inadvertently put together the match of the night!

Levi Shapiro vs. Perry Von Vicious vs. Johnny Plinko

The first of two matches at Red, White and Bruised to determine the top Ring Warrior contenders, three of NorCal’s finest will do battle for a shot at Jeremy Jaeger’s belt. If you aren’t familiar with these 3 rising stars, it’s time to take notice! Johnny Plinko made his first BPW appearance in nearly a year last month, defeating Alexis Darevko in an impressive performance. Perry Von Vicious got a shot at Jaeger at Legion Hall of Doom by virtue of his pedigree, and after falling short he is looking to bounce right back into the title picture. Levi Shapiro is arguably the most underated wrestler in the entire state, and BPW is looking to showcase the talents of our performers from up north. You won’t see them anywhere else, and one of these men will get one step closer to wearing BPW gold around his waist!

Lucha Machine vs. Seville Alvarez vs. Robby Phoenix

The first Ring Warrior contenders match features 3 men from Northern California doing battle for a chance at Jaeger’s belt. This match features 3 men from the same wrestling school! Robby Phoenix, trainer at Santino Brothers wrestling academy, makes his return to the BPW ring against two of his students! Lucha Machine and Seville are no strangers to the Ring Warrior division: Lucha is a former champion and Seville has had several title shots that came up short. All three of these men know each other very well, and only one of them will go on to face Jaeger in August. Can one of the students surpass the master? Or will Robby pull out some tricks that he didn’t teach his proteges?
