Sixteen names already announced for the Wrestling Revolution Project The Wrestling Revolution Project has announced the seventeenth name. Shawn Spears will be joining the new concept in producing Television Wrestling. The Canadian born Spears, who relocated to Los Angeles, debuted for the National Wrestling Alliance at the August NWA Hollywood Television Taping. Spears has recently emerged as a contender for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship.
Spears formerly was a member of the WWE roster as Gavin Spears and prior to that time, worked in WWE Development in FCW and Ohio Valley before that.
We briefly talked about the Wrestling Revolution Project in Jay Cal’s View #39. The WRP has already announced 15 names, with at least five more names expected. Interestingly enough, quite a few names on the list have spent some significant time wrestling in Southern California. Most recently Colt Cabana who most recently was working with NWA Hollywood and PWG and Fergal Devit who was an integral part of the Inoki Dojo, Karl Anderson and Joey Ryan who teamed together in NWA Hollywood and both worked Pro Wrestling Guerrilla. Tickets are still available for the WRP Television Taping, which is scheduled to take place on Oct. 11th, 12th, and 13th in Los Angeles. With what appears to be three roster spots left, we’ll get you updates with any new information.
