Jay Cal View’s 13

The NWA Championship Wrestling from Hollywood was a heck of a lot of fun.  I certainly got my money’s worth.  I also finally got around to picking up my SoCal Pro Wrestling Action Figure set on Wednesday night.  Probably the coolest piece of merch, I’ve ever seen for SoCal Indy Fans.   Jay Cal’s View this week will be brief, but I’ve still got you covered on this weeks events and results.I started a post on the message board talking about Championship Wrestling from Hollywood, which you can contribute to here.  This was a very smooth taping, no re-starts or breaks to change video tapes, and most importantly brought the goods in the ring.  Colt Cabana looked great in his in ring return to the NWA.  His promos involved him having the “best time in the ring possible” and winning the NWA World Championship.  There were three matches that in my opinion are must see when KDOC Channel 56 presents this show.  Scorpio Sky vs NWA World Champion Adam Pearce for the title , Joey Ryan vs. TJ Perkins, and my personal favorite of the night, Los Luchas vs. the RockNES Monsters for the NWA Heritage Tag Team Titles.  Since this was a tv taping, I was expecting short 5 minute matches.  But on the contrary, the matches seemed like they were given plenty of time.  And I was surprised how hot the crowd was.  I had a great time at the event and look forward to the next taping.

Also while I was at the Galaxy Theatre, I made my way to the merch table and found Jeff Dino selling his wares along with the SoCal Pro Action Figures.  Each figure only $10 or the entire set for $50.  Still probably the most innovated piece of merchandise I’ve seen at any wrestling show.  I’ve talked about them before, but I really was blown away how cool these action figures are.  I know the figures will be available at most shows but you can also get them online at http://wrestlewarehouse.com/  If you are a fan of SoCal Crazy, Chimera, Ricky Mandel, or the RockNES Monsters (Johnny Yuma and Johnny Goodtime, you’ve got to check these out.
