The Dynamite D Memorial Show: Back to the Eighties – April 9

03.07.2010 Los Angeles, CA. -Keep the Dream Alive”…………those were the last words that Darren “The World’s Greatest Wrestler Mr 80’s Dynamite D” McMillan (Local SoCal great from Slammers, XPW etc.) said to Joey Kaos before he passed. With those thoughts in his head along with the grieving of a fallen comrade, Joey Kaos set out to do just that, keep D’s dream and memory alive in pro wrestling. That was back in 2007 when Santino Bros Wrestling Academy first became a reality.

Santino Bros. Wrestling Academy

The Santino Bros. Wrestling Academy was created with my hero Darren “Dynamite D” McMillan in mind. The last time I saw D, he was in the hospital, very discouraged, scared, and I think he knew he was’nt going home. I gave him a hug and big kiss, and I told him I loved him. He told me, “You gotta keep the dream alive”, I left in tears. Hugged his Mom and Dad and left. (This is incredibly hard to write without crying my eyes out.) I feel that’s all I can do now, Keep the Dream Alive. That’s what I plan on doing. We move forward in Darren’s honor, We teach them as he taught us. We will look out for them, as you looked out for us. We will polish them, as he took the time to polish me. He taught me about the old school and how I should respect it. He told corny jokes, and I loved them, the only man I know who can kick a rubix cubes ass! I miss him very much. I’ll see you again, and we’ll lace’em up one more time together.
