“WRESTLING 101”
Invades worlds of cinema; Long Beach Comic-Con
ORANGE, CA—Rumors have been abound at what big developments were in the works at Mach One Wrestling. Now, M1W proudly announces the opening of their official training academy, “Wrestling 101.” Seasoned vets Ryan “Keiji” Sakoda and “Magnum” Joey Ryan will serve as head instructors, and bring with them a wealth of worldwide wrestling experience, having performed with the sport’s top talents, and amassing titles along the way.
“Wrestling 101” will be run out of the prestigious American Sports Center in Anaheim, CA, also home to the team 2008 gold medal winning USA Men’s National and silver medal winning Women’s National volleyball teams. Mach One Wrestling will be contributing to this tradition of developing championship caliber athletes when they move to weekly “Friday Fight Night” shows, every Friday night at the ASC beginning this Fall.
M1W has also entered the world of film, as principal photography and filming has commenced on a short film by Chapman University’s Armando Diaz, writer and director of “The Jogger,” starring Mach One stars the “New York Knockout” Nikki, and “Magnum” Joey Ryan. Once post-production has been completed, look for “The Jogger” on the film festival circuit.
Finally, Mach One Wrestling is proud to be providing regular entertainment during the first ever Long Beach Comic-Con, October 2-4, 2009. M1W will showcase exhibition matches all throughout the convention featuring M1W’s top talent, commencing with a full show, M1W “Wrath of Con” Saturday night, which will see the “Red Tornado” James Morgan defend the M1W Championship. Look for the Mach One Wrestling booth, where top talents from the world of comics will be on hand to sketch your favorite M1W personalities.
