Battleground Pro Wrestling returns to Los Alamitos on this Saturday, July 25, and although the card has been announced for a while, a few changes have been made for various reasons. The new card looks a bit like this: Battleground Big Pro (BPW) Heavyweight Championship match
The Stepfather (C) vs. Human Tornado
After winning a number one contender’s match over Human Tornado at Summertime Bruise, Johnny Goodtime was named number one contender for the BPW title. However, due to whatever reason, Mr. Goodtime has elected not to perform for Battleground Pro Wrestling this weekend, so the title match has been awarded to Human Tornado by BPW brass. When asked to comment, Stepfather said, ”It don’t matter to me, I’ll whoop whoever you put in front of me like I have whooped everyone who has ever been in my way. I also have a little surprise for that jackass Loco, so he better listen up, as I got something to say to him at Independence Daze!”
Battleground Pro vs. New Wave Pro Wrestling:
Hellmuth (The Exiled/ BPW) vs. David E. Jones (Anchors Away/ NWPW)
Chris Lyonz (The Exiled/ BPW) vs. Ryan Stone (Anchors Away/ NWPW)
The feud between Anchors Away and The Exiled is a battle which has been raging on in both New Wave Pro Wrestling and Battleground Pro. These two matches promise to bring this battle to a new level, as all four wrestlers are looking for blood from their opponents.
Foob Dogg (BPW) vs. Locura (NWPW)
Ever since Foob Dog lost to Amazing Web at New Wave Pro Wrestling’s Sweet Sixteen back in May, Foob Dogg has been chomping at the bit to get back at anyone from New Wave, and the man from the Happy Minds Mental Health facility is more than happy to try and make the Dogg’s record against NWPW 0-2.
Xtreme Loco vs. “Drunk” Uncle Ronnie
After losing to Stepfather due to the Poor Horsemen’s interference at the April show, Xtreme Loco has wanted any opportunity to get at any member of the Poor Horsemen. One unknown going into this match is what the Stepfather has planned to say to Loco, as he has promised a blockbuster announcement.
Skulu vs. Roadhouse
After originally being scheduled to face Biggie Biggs, Roadhouse was given a new opponent after Biggie had booked himself on another show, and was only able to wrestle at BPW if his match could open the show. Due to the immense popularity of Roadhouse, BPW wanted to have him on the middle of the card, and thus were forced to book Skulu to take on the man from the Double Deuce Ranch, Orange County Chapter.
Mr. M.I.T. vs. Kurokage
Still feeling the loss from his partner, Ellen Degenerate, getting pinned in the loser leaves town six man tag at Summertime Bruise, Mr. MIT will try to pull it together as a singles wrestler in a match against the man from Tokyo, BPW original Kurokage!
Anthony “The Tank” Alvarado vs. So Cal Crazy vs. “Big Nasty” Jason Watts
This is a triple threat match with some interesting variables in it. SoCal Crazy is the New Wave Pro Wrestling champion, and Tank is a BPW man through and through. Watts, however, wrestles for both companies, so who knows what alliances may arise?
The Latin Heartthrobs will be making their return to BPW. Also scheduled to appear are the Latin Heartthrobs, Reed Headed Stepchild, K-Dubb, and Wiseguy!
