Unfinished Business was the appropriate title for HPW’s last event at the Downey Elks Lodge, because there was still unfinished business left to settle. This means on Sunday November 18th when HPW presents High Stakes scores will be settled before HPW can move on to new business.Main Event for the HPW Championship
Matt “Mr. Instant Replay” Jackson (c) vs. TJ Perkins
TJ Perkins picked up a big win in his meeting against Sonny Samson. Because of his impressive victory and the international pedigree he is awarded a title shot against our fighting champion. After finally putting a nail in the coffin to Scott Lost’s quest for gold Matt Jackson will be granted a fresh challenger whom is more than capable of taking the gold away from him. After wrestling for many promotions in the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Japan Perkins has mastered the art of adapting to his surroundings in the squared circle. Matt Jackson has seen action in Mexicali, Canada, Hawaii and other US promotions but does not match the caliber of TJ Perkins, could this be the last time Matt Jackson will walk away from the Downy elks lodge as the champion?

Dynamite Fury (Joey Dynamite & Fabien Fury) vs. Ray “Biggie Biggz” Murillo & Charles Mercury
At Unfinished business Dynamite Fury came to the ring during the Blazing Riot vs. Charles Mercury & Ray Murillo Match to prevent Mercury from obtaining the win with the help of a chain in his hand. As a result Markus Riot scores the pin upsetting Mercury and Murillo. Mercury and Murillo proceed to attack Dynamite Fury as payback for the loss. Later on the show Dynamite Fury had no chance going into their match against Los Luchas because they were not 100%. After many hours of revue and debate in the HPW match making council only one option came close to satisfy both parties. Mercury and Murillo will be chained at the neck to Dynamite Fury in Socal’s 1st ever Double Dog Collar match. This way these teams can’t escape from each other to finally prove who is the better team.

The Real American Heroes vs. Los Luchas vs. Blazing Riot vs. Guerrero De Sangre & Ronin
The tag team division in HPW is heating up to be a very competitive battle field with each team wanting to become the first ever HPW Tag Team Champions. This match will feature four of the top tag teams in HPW and a victory in this match could help decide the match brackets for January 26, 2008 is Tag Team Title Tournament (details to be released in the coming weeks). The Real American Heroes are definitely the favorites to win this match because of they have what it takes to become champions. However they will have some heavy competition to contend with. Los Luchas are having a break out year this year wrestling in Puerto Rico as well as other NWA summit shows, and both Blazing Riot and Guerrero De Sangre & Ronin are young hungry tag teams looking for the chance to shine in HPW. The winner of this four way will definitely have everything to gain.
Tag Team challenge match:
“The Hardcore Homo” Angel & Johnny Goodtime vs. Sonny Samson & Mystery Partner
After Angel’s win over Johnny Goodtime, Sonny Samson rushed to the ring to get revenge for his loss at No Remorse. In the heat of the moment Samson not only took care of Angel he also took care of Goodtime. Was this intentional or was Goodtime in the wrong place in the wrong time? Mean while during Samson’s match against TJ Perkins, both Angel and Goodtime watched on from ringside in hopes to provide a distraction. This tactic worked and frustrated Samson to the point of demanding HPW to give him one chance to get revenge on Angel and Goodtime even if it means putting him in a handicapped match. Although the match making council was entertained by the idea of a handicap match they felt it was fair to grant Sonny Samson a tag team match at High Stakes against Angel & Goodtime. However Sonny Samson will have to wait until the day of the show to find out who his partner is.
Also scheduled to appear at Hybrid Pro Wrestling’s “High Stakes” is “The Professional” Scott Lost, “The Rock Superstar” Kaos, “Slick” Nick Jackson, Bino Gambino & much more.
