On May 4th, 2007 the Alternative Wrestling Show presented it’s first Friday evening show in their new location across the street from the Frank ‘N’ Sons Collectable Show at the New AWS Shop. The main event saw AWS mainstays Lil’ Cholo and Al Katrazz (w/C. Edward Vander Pyle) do battle in a parking lot brawl that saw everything that wasn’t tied down, and several things that were, used as weapons. After smashing through guardrails, crashing into occupied port-a-johns, throwing each other into chairs, ladders and thumbtacks and jumping at each other of the roof, it was no surprise that neither man was cleared to return this Friday.
“I could have let them wrestle,” said AWS Kingpin Bart Kapitzke, “but I’m not gonna be responsible for these guys right now. They’re hurt and they’re mad. Al Katrazz won that match and he’s still furious. I’m gonna let these guys heal and calm down before I put them in a ring again!”
Kapitzke then announced the line-up for this Friday and, despite the lack of Cholo & Katrazz, this should be another great evening of NWA action!
Aaron Aguilera & Scorpio Sky vs. Joey Ryan & Peter Goodman (w/Vander Pyle & Andrew Hellman)
What does Vander Pyle know that we don’t? After being given the night off, he insisted on being involved in this match when he heard that Aguilera was returning to an AWS ring for the first time in months. Also, rumor has it that he has offered a bounty to both Ryan and Goodman, as well as anyone in the locker room who can injure Aguilera this Friday. Are there that many lingering bad feelings over the year-long feud from 2005-2006 between Vander Pyle’s charge Adam Pearce and Aguilera or is there something else behind this new aggression? Nonetheless, four of the top wrestlers in Southern California will be in the ring at the same time in this explosive tag team match!
AWS LA Light Heavyweight Title Match
Champion:
Disco MachineChallenger: T.J. Perkins
There are few wrestlers more technically sound than TJ Perkins. There are few wrestlers who enjoy techno sounds more than Disco Machine. No matter how opposite these fighters may seem, they both share the same goal – walking out of City of Industry with the gold! Heart and soul takes on pop and funk!
AWS Tag Team Title Match
Champion: The Young Bucks (Nick & Matt Jackson)
Challenger: Midnight Dynamite (Charles Mercury & Johnny Paradise)
Twenty minutes was just not enough time last time around. The Bucks and Midnights have become so familiar with each other over the past year that they finally seemed to be heating up when the time limit expired on their last match. Unfortunately, with so many other matches to get to and no desire to be in the parking lot at 2AM, time limits are not as long as regularly desired. Bart has made sure that they will have at least five more minutes this time out. Will that be enough or will this battle need continuation once again? Come see one of the hottest tag team feuds anywhere in wrestling today!
Special Match from Japan
Dragon Yuki vs. Kargga
SoCal fans are going to have two chances to catch these amazing fighters at NWA Pro events as they face off this Friday at AWS and at EWF on the 25th. Come and see what the world is talking about!
Bo Cooper vs. Sexy Chino & Sonny Samson
After saving his former Tag Team Championship partner Sexy Chino from a post-match beatdown, all seemed well with the duo known as “Bump-N-Grind.” But when Bo Cooper & Human Tornado lost their match with Joey Ryan & Karl “Machine Gun” Anderson, Cooper lost his cool. First he began berating Tornado, who fought valiantly despite a well-documented knee injury. Then, when Sexy Chino tried to calm him down, Cooper unleashed his built up fury on an unsuspecting Chino. Chino and Sonny Samson will take on Brawlin Bo in a handicap match, that is if Chino can be medically cleared by Friday. If not, Samson has stated he will take on the man who is lewd, crude and tattooed one-on-one. For Chino’s sake, we hope the doctors sit him out!
Plus…
Los Chivos (Kayam y Enigma de Oro) vs. Topgun Talwar & Ronnin
Apollo Kahn, Steve Pain & Markus Riot in action and more!
*All matches subject to change without notice
P.S. If you haven’t heard the news, the NWA has stripped the World Heavyweight and World Tag Team Titles! More information at www.nwawrestling.com
