Battle Ground Pro returns Sat 2/17/07, there’s a Rumble in Newhall!!

Official preview for the Battle Ground Pro Wrestling “Rumble in Newhall” on Saturday February 17, 2007 at the American Legion Hall 24527 Spruce St. Newhall, CA

Battle Ground Pro Wrestling rang in the New Year last month with a raucous standing room only crowd that saw “Brawlin” Bo Cooper successfully defend his BiG Pro Heavyweight Title against Rocky Romero, only to be bamboozled out of the title by “The Rock Superstar” Kaos (with an assist from the newest member of Jason Bennett’s stable, “The Silent Assassin” Joey Harder). Commissioner Bennett made the announcement last month that the main event for February would be 25 man over the top rope “Royal Rumble” style battle royal (start with 2 men, one new entrant every two minutes) to determine the next #1 contender to the heavyweight title. Bo Cooper suddenly finds himself going from watching the match with anticipation to a participant! Cooper wants a rematch for that title badly, and he knows now he needs to go through 24 other Battle Ground Pro wrestlers to get it!Main Event: 25 Man Over the Top Rope “Battleground Rumble”. The winner becomes the #1 contender to the Battle Ground Pro Heavyweight Title!

We are not going to announce all 25 participants at this time. However, to whet your whistle, here are the first 15!
Li’l Cholo
Hook Bomberry
“Sexy” Sonny Samson
Diablo
King Faviano
Chimaera
Infernal
Bobby Joe Marshall
The Stepfather
Charles Mercury
Johnny Paradise
Junior Old School
Silver Tyger
“Mr. 300%” Brandon Nitro
And of course, “Brawlin” Bo Cooper!

Over the next couple weeks, we will announce the final 10 participants in the Rumble!

On Feb 17, you will also see:
Battle Ground Pro Wrestling Tag Team Title Match: The Dogs of War (The Awesome Plague & Crayz w/Commissioner Jason Bennett) (c) vs. The Young Bucks (Slick Nick & Mr. Instant Replay).
Last month the Young Bucks managed to outlast three other teams in a Fatal Four Way elimination match to become the #1 contenders to the tag team titles, including long time rivals Midnight Dynamite! Can the popular Bucks overcome the sheer power and unpredictability of the champions? Plague & Crayz have yet to be really tested as a team, and the Bucks have perfected the art of tag team warfare. Will they be able to overcome Commissioner Bennett’s team and claim the gold?

Battle Ground Pro Wrestling MAX Title Match: “Marvelous” Markus Riot (c) vs. Disco Machine.
Young Markus Riot has been on one hell of a roll in Battle Ground Pro since late last year. First was his thrilling, bloody, street fight victory over Preston Scott. Then he came out the winner against three other competitors to become the BiG Pro MAX champion. Last month, he won a hard fought victory in a brutal battle with Hook Bomberry to retain his title. This month, he faces a man who is no stranger to the fans in the Battle Ground Pro arena, and a man who already holds a victory over the champion: Disco Machine! Can Markus ride his momentum to victory, or will Disco outwrestle him once again and claim the belt?

Tag Team Grudge Match: “The Wholesome Hero” JT Hyatt & Foob Dogg vs. “The Role Model” Preston Scott & Ray “Boom-Boom” Murillo.
The war brewing between JT Hyatt and Preston Scott escalated once again last month as after securing a victory, Hyatt was beaten down not only by Preston Scott, but also by his bodyguard Ray Murillo! Things seemed hopeless until the popular star from Guam Foob Dogg made the save. Foob told JT he would have his back, and the two challenged the villains to a tag team match to settle the score. Scott and Murillo accepted begrudgingly, but if anything is for certain those two have a nefarious plan to lay a-hurtin’ on the two popular fan favorites!

“Mr. 300%” Brandon Nitro vs. The Human Tornado
But wait, isn’t Brandon Nitro in the Rumble you ask? He most certainly is, but his recent alignment with “Brawlin” Bo Cooper and interference in Commissioner Jason Bennett’s well laid out plans have greatly angered the Commish, and thus this match was made. The Human Tornado has demonstrated an attitude problem in Newhall not seen elsewhere on the So Cal indy circuit. Perhaps it’s something in the water? Maybe it’s the drunken racist fans? Either way, Tornado has demonstrated a vicious streak that is unparalleled. Commissioner Bennett is counting on exactly that streak to soften up Brandon Nitro. Nitro wants to take his game up to the next level; well this is a test he may not be able to pass!

Also, the brand new Battle Ground Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion “The Rock Superstar” Kaos with the lovely Jezabel will be in the house!
