Battle Ground Pro Wrestling Returns to the American Legion Hall (24257 Spruce St.) in Newhall, CA on Saturday Sept. 9th for the “Brawl in Newhall”!Main Event-Champion vs. Champion! The Battle Ground Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion “Brawlin” Bo Cooper vs. The Pro Wrestling Guerrilla Heavyweight Champion “The Technical Wizard” Joey Ryan.
The Battle Ground Pro champion Bo Cooper has been on a tear in 2006. He has dispatched all challengers to his title, and become quite a thorn in the side of Commissioner Jason Bennett in the process. After finding a way past Disco Machine last month, the Commissioner declared that the popular champion had once again underestimated Bennett’s ability to always have a back up plan. Just before the show, the Commissioner made a deal with Disco Machine, a man with some very powerful friends in the wrestling business. Should Disco fail to capture the BiG Pro Heavyweight title, he promised the Commissioner to deliver someone he was sure would not, none other than the longest reining Pro Wrestling Guerrilla Heavyweight Champion, “The Technical Wizard” Joey Ryan! As an added “stick it to ya”, the Commissioner has declared that only Bo’s title will be on the line. This one will tear the house down, folks. Don’t miss it!
Triple Threat Match-Disco Machine vs. “Wholesome” JT Hyatt vs. The Human Tornado
This one promises to be one for the ages! Disco Machine was narrowly defeated last month in his quest to become the new Battle Ground Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion, and is looking for redemption. “Wholesome” JT Hyatt has emerged as one of the most popular and charismatic stars of Battle Ground Pro and is fresh off his victory last month against Brandon Nitro and Joey Harder. The wild card here is the inclusion of The Human Tornado who was last seen in the BiG Pro arena in January competing in the four-way elimination match to crown the inaugural Battle Ground Pro Heavyweight Champion. Will Disco reclaim his winning ways? Will JT Hyatt’s crowd support give him the edge? Can the Human Tornado return to Battle Ground Pro and make the impact we all know he is capable of?
Hook Bomberry vs. “The Rock Superstar” Kaos w/Jezebel
Last month, both of the warriors in this match came out victorious. Hook Bomberry defeated the Australian Mikey Nicholls in a hard-hitting affair, and “The Rock Superstar” came out on the winning end of his battle with The Stepfather. Kaos also declared that he was in Battle Ground Pro Wrestling for one reason, and one reason only-to topple the champion “Brawlin” Bo Cooper and take that title out of Newhall and back to Hollywood! He put the champion on notice, saying he wouldn’t know where, and he wouldn’t know when, but there is a target on his back. Does Kaos view Hook as just another stepping stone to the championship, or is he setting himself up for defeat by overlooking the talented grappler in his quest for gold? Either way, this match promises hard-hitting action when these two collide.
“The Pride of Anaheim” Li’l Cholo vs. “The Role Model” Preston Scott w/Ray “Boom-Boom” Murillo
The fans of Battle Ground Pro Wrestling went home shocked last month when Li’l Cholo was defeated by Infernal for the BiG Pro Lucha Libre Title thanks to interference from “The Role Model”. After the show, Cholo went straight to Commissioner Jason Bennett demanding this match, as a matter of honor and pride. Preston Scott recently returned to action and has demonstrated that not only does he have a chip on his shoulder the size of the Rock of Gibraltar; he is ready to make an impact in BiG Pro going right after the popular Cholo. Cholo is a man bent on revenge, and Preston is a man with some very large back up in the form of Ray “Boom-Boom” Murillo. This one could get ugly.
Grudge Match! Brandon Nitro vs. Joey Harder
Several months ago, Brandon Nitro participated in a Triple Threat against Joey Harder & JT Hyatt in which he suffered a near career ending injury. Nitro has placed the blame for that injury squarely on the shoulders of the still un-defeated Joey Harder. Last month in their Triple Threat repeat match, Harder used a table to knock Nitro unconscious, giving Hyatt and easy pin. Now, these two men clash head on, one on one for the first time in Battle Ground Pro. Will we witness a wrestling match…or a war??
The first round of the tag team tournament to crown the very first Battle Ground Pro Wrestling Tag Team Champions: Four-Way Elimination Match-Midnight Dynamite (Charles Mercury & Johnny Paradise) vs. King Faviano & The Unholy vs. The Stepfamily (The Stepfather & “Drunk” Uncle Ronnie w/Red Headed Stepchild) vs. The Awesome Plague & Crayz w/Commissioner Jason Bennett.
Round one! Round two will take place on Saturday October 14th and will be a second four-way elimination match featuring The Ballard Brothers, The Young Bucks (Slick Nick & Mr. Instant Replay), Devilishly Sexy (Diablo & “Sexy” Sonny Samson) and one more team TBA!
Foob Dogg vs. Jason Bennett’s mystery opponent.
If Commissioner Jason Bennett has one true mission in life, it must be the destruction of the man known to the BiG Pro fans as Foob Dogg. The Commissioner has had Foob beaten, thrown out of the building, and humiliated, only to have Foob come back each time to embarrass the Commissioner. Last month, Foob managed to get a good smack in the face in on the Commissioner leading to this very match. Should Foob lose against this mystery opponent, he has agreed to leave Battle Ground Pro forever. Should he come out victorious, not only will he be granted a lifetime contract with BiG Pro, but also FIVE MINUTES ALONE IN THE RING WITH COMMISSIONER JASON BENNETT. Who does the Commissioner have lined up to make sure this doesn’t happen? Come to “The Brawl in Newhall” on Sept. 9th and find out!
The newly crowned Battle Ground Pro Lucha Libre Champion Infernal issues an open challenge to his title!
Last month, Infernal put his mask on the line against Li’l Cholo in an effort to unseat the popular Lucha Libre champion and came out with the strap (thanks to an assist from Preston Scott). Infernal returns to the BiG Pro Arena on Sept. 9th with a message that he is a fighting champion and ready to take on all comers. Who will answer the challenge???
