The NWA Board of Directors regrets having to take this action, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Co-Main Event – Strap Match
Aaron Aguilera (w/El Jefe) vs. Adam Pearce (w/Vander Pyle)
It all comes down to this. Adam Pearce and Aaron Aguilera, two of the top wrestlers in Southern California over the past several years, have done battle in about every possible manner. At Bart’s Belated Birthday Bash they even brought their respective managers into the fray, making them active competitors in a mixed tag team match. Losing this match, as he has lost most confrontations with Aguilera over the past year, sent Pearce into a frenzy in which he took a steel chair and a giant strap to a battered Aguilera. As Pearce tried to hang Aguilera over the top rope, the carnage was abruptly and thankfully broken up by Babi Slymm and Human Tornado. With NWA officials on hand, Aguilera made the challenge and Pearce was forced by AWS promoter Bart Kapitzke into reluctant acceptance. The two will now meet in the 1st ever strap match for NWA Pro/AWS at Bart’s Bunkhouse Brawl to settle the score once and for all! One fall to a finish, there must be a winner! Will Aguilera shut Pearce up and earn a measure of revenge? Can Pearce reverse his losing trend? Only one thing will be for certain, leather will be swung. It will connect. And it will leave scars!
Co-Main Event – Bart’s Bunkhouse Brawl!
Al Katrazz claims to be a fighting champion and this July 29 he will be in the fight of his life. After “questionably” beating one man for the title and two to defend it, Bart Kapitzke has had enough and has ordered that Al Katrazz’s next defense will be against countless other men! Bart was quoted as saying, “Katrazz continues to defame the title by cheating, using weapons, and all the while claiming the ring is his cell? Well, there are going to be dozens of others coming into his cell to take that belt whether he likes it or not. Let’s see if he can keep it up against the whole roster!” It will be a “come-as-you-are” Bunkhouse-Style battle royal with participants entering every minute depending on luck of the draw. Suffice it to say, Al Katrazz will need both luck and skill to go the distance and retain his title. While top contenders Babi Slymm and Human Tornado will not be in the contest given their one show suspension for putting their hands on referees, the field will still be stacked with top contenders gunning for gold. Entered in the match are:
Karl “Machine Gun” Anderson
Tommy Wilson
Bobby Jo Marshall
Brawlin’ Bo Cooper
Tim Manley
The Mighty Plague
Mikey Nicholls
Johnny Paradise
Andrew Hellman
Jack Manley
Charles Mercury
Peter Goodman
Ferguson Block
Crayz
Ray “Boom Boom” Murillo
Lionheart
Lil’ Cholo
Sexy Chino
Kayam
King Faviano
Enigma de Oro
Johnny Goodtime
Slick Nick
Mr. Instant Replay
“The Succulent Sensation” Shawn Riddick
And who knows, there may be more! For Katrazz to retain the title he must start and finish this grueling challenge. Vander Pyle won’t be able to help him as the entire NWA Pro roster vies for gold in Bart’s Bunkhouse Brawl!
NWA Pro/AWS Light Heavyweight Championship
Champion: Lil’ Cholo
Challenger: Lionheart
There are some things that can be forgiven and some things that cannot. Lionheart’s deception and attack on Lil’ Cholo falls under the latter. In their first attempt to settle their score Cholo picked up the pinfall via a quick rollup. Enraged, Lionheart again attack Cholo after their match, handcuffing him and blasting him repeatedly with the AWS-LA Lightweight belt. Clearly the bad blood between these warriors has not settled and an immediate challenge was issued by Cholo. That request has been approved and it will take place at the next NWA Pro event at AWS. What will be the next step in this very personal war? Can Cholo continue to outlast the fiery Lionheart? Will Lionheart pry the belt away? Saturday will be the day for answers!
Los Chivos vs. The Young Bucks
The fire inside the Young Bucks has not been dampened by two losses in two attempts at Frank ‘N’ Sons Arena. Despite well fought matches against the teams of Plague & Crayz and The Manley Brothers, Slick Nick and Mr. Instant Replay have wound up at the losers pay window twice. On July 29 they will be back again against possibly their toughest challenge in the former AWS Tag Team Champions, Los Chivos. Kayam & Enigma de Oro know that they need to continue to build steam if they are going to get back into the title hunt against Midnight Dynamite. It is the upstart youngsters against the established veterans!
Grudge Match
Tommy Wilson vs. Peter Goodman
On July 8th, Tommy Wilson made his NWA Pro/AWS debut after being a fan favorite in San Diego for sometime. Little did he know that he’d stack up alongside the boisterous Pete Goodman against Los Chivos. As you may know, the team never gelled, as Goodman was trying frantically to get Tommy to take on his dastardly cheating ways. Tommy, being the sportsman he is, would not take up Goodman’s charge, and ended up cementing that status with a mighty superkick to Goodman’s jaw. In fact, it is the same superkick that earned him a victory over Adam Pearce on July 21st in San Diego. Can Tommy stay on this roll? Will Goodman’s mouth once again write a check that he physically can’t cash? We’ll find out on Saturday!
Karl “Machine Gun” Anderson vs. Mikey Nicholls
Karl Anderson survived Babi Slymm on July 21 only with the help of his new allies Adam Pearce and Mr. Vander Pyle. With Slymm and Human Tornado suspended for this event, Anderson’s contract was signed by Australian upstart Mikey Nicholls. Nicholls upset the capable Scott Lost in San Diego on July 21st, and has his sights set on taking down the Machine Gun. Can Mikey land the Shooting Star for the win, or will Anderson simply shoot him out of the sky as he waits for Babi Slymm to return to action?
Join us on Saturday, July 29th as NWA Pro and AWS bring you “Bart’s Bunkhouse Brawl”. Questions will get answered, feuds settled, titles defended. if you can’t get into this action, swallow a bullet!
