Thanks to supreme efforts from all those involved and the support of some amazingly fanatic fans, Battle Ground Pro Wrestling returns to the American Legion Hall in Newhall , CA on Saturday August 12 th for show # 5!
Main Event for the Battle Ground Pro Wrestling Lucha Libre Title-Li’l Cholo (C) vs. Infernal in a Title vs. Mask match!
The long-standing feud between SoCal lucha standouts Li’l Cholo and Infernal has now spanned many years and numerous feds with each man taking his share of victories. At the May Battle Ground Pro show Li’l Cholo surprised Infernal with a quick rollup victory. Incensed by the defeat, Infernal called the offices of Commissioner Jason Bennett demanding a rematch. In fact, he was so supremely confident in his ability to take Cholo’s title; he has offered to put his mask on the line. In Lucha Libre, a luchador’s entire identity is based on his mask, so you can rest assured Infernal has issued this challenge with the utmost seriousness. Will this blood feud finally come to an end on August 12 th , or will it just be another chapter in this seemingly never ending battle?
Co-Main Event for the Battle Ground Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Title-“Brawlin’” Bo Cooper (C) vs. Disco Machine
In June, Bo Cooper emerged from his battle with “The Rock Superstar” Kaos title intact, much to the chagrin of Commissioner Jason Bennett. Cooper’s popularity with the Newhall crowd is something seemingly driving the Commissioner to the brink, more and more intent on destroying the popular champion. Disco Machine has similarly done little to endear himself to the Newhall faithful; in fact, he has quickly become one of the most despised starts of Battle Ground Pro. Thus, a plan was hatched! With their mutual distaste for the BiG Pro fans and the champion, it was agreed that great pleasure could be derived if Disco were to become the next Battle Ground Pro Heavyweight Champion. Both men would take mountains of enjoyment in seeing the champion deflated and the fans kicked in their collective crotches. Bo Cooper on the other hand has promised to dispatch Disco Machine the same way he has to all challengers to his title. Is there more than meets the eye here? We shall see on the 12 th !
Turn Back the Hands of Time Triple Threat Match-Brandon Nitro vs. Joey Harder vs. “Wholesome” JT Hyatt
For those in attendance for the May Battle Ground Pro show, it was truly a scary moment when Brandon Nitro seemingly attempted to perform a lobotomy upon himself splitting his skull open doing a daredevil stunt. While the lobotomy may have done the young man some good, he has gone as far as to blame one Joey Harder for the injury. Now fully recovered, we shall see the Triple Threat the fans were cheated out of back in May. Joey Harder remains undefeated in Battle Ground Pro, and the popular JT Hyatt is the wildcard in the equation. What will happen when these three up and coming stars step into the ring one more time? Nothing short of pure, 100% action!
“The Rock Superstar” Kaos w/Jezebel vs. The Stepfather
Anyone in attendance at the June show saw Kaos come seconds away from unseating BiG Pro Heavyweight Champion Bo Cooper. If not for the interference of The Messiah, it is highly likely Kaos would be wearing the gold around his waist at this very moment! “The Rock Superstar” has insisted that he is returning to Battle Ground Pro for what he feels is rightfully his, and no one shall stand in his way. No pushover by any stretch of the imagination, The Stepfather has declared that Kaos’ losing streak will continue, and he will lay a beating upon him his own daddy should have done a long time ago!
The Ballard Brothers vs. King Faviano & Unholy
King Faviano has a problem. He feels that he and his partner have been disrespected. Disrespected by Battle Ground Pro, disrespected by the fans, and disrespected by the wrestling world in general. In Battle Ground Pro respect isn’t demanded, it’s earned. Can Favi and Unholy earn that respect when they step into the ring with one of the greatest tag teams in all of SoCal wrestling history? The Ballard Brothers resume speaks for itself-numerous championships to their credit, and the universal respect of all those who know them. Will Faviano and Unholy spoil the Ballards Battle Ground Pro debut? This will be one not to be missed!
The Awesome Plague w/Commissioner Jason Bennett vs. Foob Dogg
Commissioner Jason Bennett has made a promise to the fans of Battle Ground Pro Wrestling-on Saturday August 12 th , the Awesome Plague will destroy Foob Dogg once and for all. After being beaten, fired, and thrown out of the building by the Commissioner and his monster in May, Foob had the audacity to attend the June show as a spectator, and cost Plague his match against Sexy Chino by drawing him out of the ring resulting in a count out loss. The Commissioner has reinstated Foob Dogg for August 12 th only, just enough for Plague to dispatch with him as ordered. The Commissioner has stated, “I don’t care how much the fans chant his name, this will be the LAST time anyone sees his ugly Foob mug in my ring!”
“Marvelous” Markus Riot vs. “The Role Model” Preston Scott
Referee (now FORMER referee) Preston Scott shocked all the fans of Battle Ground Pro in June not only by showing bias towards Disco Machine in his match against young Markus Riot, but then by viciously attacking Riot post-match. It would appear Preston Scott has returned to his roots, no longer content to play second fiddle to the wrestlers in Battle Ground Pro. Markus Riot is a talented young man with a lot to prove. Will he spoil Preston Scott’s return to the ring, or does “The Role Model” have something up his sleeve to ensure victory??
