HRW’s “Seeking Retribution” was an amazing night with amazing matches. For any of you who didn’t attend well you really missed out. There is no possible way this review will give this show the justice it so rightly deserves. The HRW roster is filled with talent that is destined to be the future of this sport today. I know, I know, you all have heard this from me before. Well it’s flipping true! On to the review:Project Mayhem (Kid Karnage and Ron Killbourn) VS Two Tone (Whacko Blacko and Neon White)
Originally this was going to be Kid Karnage and Tyler Durkin but Durkin decided to be manager for the match. I think it’s always a good idea to use Killbourn as opener. It just feels right. Him and Karnage make a great team. Most of this match is pure dominance from Project Mayhem. Keeping Neon White from tagging the amazing Whacko Blacko..who is totally insane. Blacko gets in the ring and cleans house but it isn’t enough to keep Project Mayhem down. Ron seals the win with an STO and with the help of Tyler Durkin’s distractions.
Slick Nick and Johnny Paradise VS Killer Tsunami (CK and Ronnie Tsunami) with Special guest referee Classy Mr. Massie.
Tired of Nick’s cheating, Massie decided to make himself the special referee for tonight’s match. Killer Tsunami gets the early advantage but that only lasts for so long. Soon Nick and “The Undefeated” Johnny Paradise start to take Ronnie Tsunamis apart. Ronnies and Johnnies! At times when it looks like the match was won by Nick or Paradise there was a suspiciously slow count from Mr. Massie. I think we all know who his favorite is. Both CK and Tsunami knock Paradise and Nick out of the ring and jump at both of them in unison. Killer Tsunami gets the win by pinning Slick Nick.
Biggie Biggs VS Sexy Sonny Samson
M.I.R and Biggie Biggs enter the arena carrying a giant ambler alert sign. They go in the ring and demand that Sexy Sonny Samson give back Stevie who was taken away at the last show. Stevie emerges through the back dressed in boas and sunglasses. MIR gets all upset about this and demands that Stevie goes back to being classic normal Stevie. MIR bought him a cowboy hat and tells Stevie to put it on. Samson and MIR start fight over who Steveie. FINALLY STEVIE JUST CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE! CAN’T YOU SEE YOU’RE TEARING HIM APART?!?!?! He leaves the ring and Biggie attacks Samson. We have a match on our hands now. I personally enjoyed this match. Both guys are straight up wailing on each other. Most of the match consists of punches and kicks and seems so brutal and right. For the most part Biggs is in control of the match trying to pin Samson several times but Samson won’t go down for the count. MIR gets on the apron and starts distracting the ref. The ref calls security. MIR KNOCKS SECURITY THE FUCK OUT! The ref goes to attend to security.who happens to be a woman.and we all know women can’t take care of themselves, what good are they as security?..am I right fellas? What do you tell a security guard with two black eyes? Never mind. Anyway, as ref is attending the security girl, Biggs and MIR attack Samson. MIR pulls the ref back for a pin. Another interesting and very controversial ending tonight.
High Desert Championship Match
Brawlin’ Bo Cooper VS Marcus Riot
Marcus and Bo Cooper have fought each other in Socal scene more times then I can count. Now things have gotten DANGEROUS! The two start off with a normal match with Marcus desperately doing what can to fight off Bo’s advances. Marcus knocks Bo grabs the mic. Bo tell Marcus this now a hardcore match. Marcus goes insane and attacks Bo like crazy. This doesn’t last long and Bo attacks Marcus with a slippery when wet sign. Bo tosses Marcus into the chairs AND BRINGS HIM OUTSIDE! Bo calls out all the fans to follow him. Marcus jumps off a railing outside onto Bo! Bo and Marcus bring the action back inside. This is totally insane! Marcus rail road spikes Bo in the ring. Bo starts attack Marcus with a kendo stick. Bo hits a neck breaker on the kendo stick. Marcus’ head is starting to swell.seriously. Bo pulls out a table! Bo put Marcus on the table. Bo gets up on the ropes but Marcus gets off the table and fights him off. He puts Bo on the table. Marcus Goes for a railroad spike of the top rope but the table won’t break! Marcus punches Bo who is still lying on the table and it snaps in half. Marcus goes for the Pin but Bo still kicks out. Bo seems a little distracted; Marcus goes for a roll up and gets the win! Bo goes to shake Marcus’ hand after the match and then attacks him with his kendo stick. Human Tornado comes out and challenges Bo. Bo leaves and Johnny Paradise comes out to help Marcus Riot…WITH A TOMBSTONE!!! This will go down as one of the most insane matches in HRW history! Totally out of this world crazy. An exclamation point in the never ending battles of Marcus Riot and Bo Cooper.
Mister Instant Replay VS Ryan Mason
Mason comes out to the ring dancing with the fans and the whitest ref on the planet. He’s so white he’s mayo on white bread with turkey with a glass of whole milk.Super White! Oh right the match..pretty awesome stuff. Mason is constantly improving in the ring. This match was pretty fast pace with many reversals. Both these guys can hit amazing flying kicks in the ring. MIR goes for his infamous cart wheel front roll into a BACK RAKE, the most devastating move in wrestling history! MIR hits the exclamation point but it’s not enough to put away Mason; however MIR’s Camel Clutch is enough.
Diablo VS J-fury
These guys really went all out tonight. Amazing moves in this match including some incredible spots involving the ropes. Fury tries to fight back with arm drags and head scissors but Diablo tosses him on the ropes and hits him with a DDT. Fury manages to hit Diablo with a front neck breaker. Both men are down! Fury goes for the pin but it’s not enough to keep the big bad demon daddy down! Diablo gets the advantage and knocks Fury out with a black hole slam. Diablo has the match won but he decides to go for his finishing move “The Mark of The Beast!” Diablo goes for a pin but yanks Fury’s head up before the three count. He then goes for Chris Daniels finishing move “The Angels Wings” Diablo defeats J-Fury! Suddenly there’s an ambush and just about everyone on the roster is in the ring! Chris Daniels music starts to play. Diablo puts his hands over his ears, freaks out, and leaves. The Show ends with the remaining wrestlers in the ring fighting back stage.
