Indian Gulch, California – Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com) Commissioner Paul T. is a man of the people, one who listens to the fan”s concerns and gripes, and does his best to remedy them. This time, however, Paul T. has outdone himself. When many fans claimed they would not be attending PWG”s August event in favor of “the next show,” The Commish pulled out all the stops by organizing bus trips, naming this coming event “The Next Show”, and even finding investors from both Japan & Brazil to invest in the PWG Personal Matter Transporter. In the past, fans may have had difficulty getting to shows, but now more than ever, Paul T. & PWG have made it easy for fans to attend our shows, starting with “The Next Show” on Saturday, September 4 at 7:00PM (New Start Time!)Proving he is dedicated to the fans, Commissioner Paul T. will be unable to attend “The Next Show,” because of a peace keeping mission to North Korea, which he hopes will assure the safety of PWG fans world wide. However, he did pass along this impressive line up for September 4:
Super Dragon vs. UK Kid – Fans unfamiliar with UK Kid will be pleasantly surprised with this graduate of the Shawn Michaels” Texas Wrestling Academy, and those who already know about him will eagerly await his return to Southern California. One man not looking forward to the return of UK Kid is Super Dragon, who after a brutal loss to Samoa Joe at “The Secret Of The Ooze” could potentially face a 2 loss slide, knocking him out of title contention and elevating UK Kid in the eyes of fans everywhere. On top of that, the last time UK Kid was in Southern California, he made a small loan to Super Dragon, one he will undoubtedly want repaid. “[UK Kid] didn”t really get the money system, and I kept equating dollars to ”pence” instead of ”pounds,” so dude gave me like $500 before he realized what he had done. Too bad he was already back on the plane to Nottingham or wherever. Sucker.”
B-Boy, Homicide, & Bobby Quance vs. Puma, Ricky Reyes, & Rocky Romero – The war of the LA Dojo is heating up, and after a two month absence, Bobby Quance has returned to PWG with a couple of new friends he made on the east coast. While Bobby was in the North East earlier this month, he knew he would have to come back to California and face the Dangerous Players (Puma, Ricky Reyes, Rocky Romero, & Samoa Joe) eventually, so why not bring some of the toughest guys around to watch your back? Fans got their first taste of B-Boy & Homicide during the Tango & Cash Invitational earlier this year, where the duo walked away with the PWG Tag Titles, and now with Bobby Quance thrown into the mix, the team could be unstoppable. Have the Dangerous Player bitten off more than they can chew by picking a fight with the seemingly quiet, reserved, cookie loving Bobby?
PWG Tag Team Championship Ladder Match – Winner Picks A New Partner
Scott Lost vs. Joey Ryan – For the entire month of August, Scott Lost will be on a learning excursion in Japan, improving his technique in the art of professional wrestling, learning about and embracing the culture of the Japanese people, and meeting all sorts of new and interesting people. For the entire month of August, Joey Ryan will be on a trying to resist the lure of the Carl”s Jr. Triple Six Dollar Burger With Chilli, learning about and embracing the culture of the 1970”s by repeatedly viewing the movie “Anchorman,” and meeting all sorts of new and interesting people via internet chatrooms. Going into this match, even the most ardent supporter of Joey Ryan would have to give the advantage to Scott Lost, but one month is a long time to be away, and Joey, though unfamiliar to homework, could do some research and actually come to “class” prepared, which would surely shock the returning Lost.
PWG Championship Match
Frankie Kazarian (c) vs. Samoa Joe – After defeating Super Dragon at “The Secret Of The Ooze,” Samoa Joe went directly to Commissioner Paul T. and demanded a shot at the PWG Championship. Knowing his car was the only one in the parking lot with a surf board on top, and he could easily be followed home, Paul quickly complied with Joe”s “request.” When Frankie Kazarian heard about this, he stormed into Paul T”s office at Sharkee”s Bar & Grill in Manhattan Beach and demanded an explanation. Though he tried to duck under a table, Frankie still spotted him and wanted answers, to which Paul T gave the official “I”ll take a look into it and get back to you.” After Frankie left, the Peace Keeping Mission in North Korea was scheduled, and the title shot set in stone!
Plus Disco Machine, Quicksilver, Chris Bosh, Charles Mercury, Supa Badd, Human Tornado, Excalibur, Top Gun Talwar, and the Southern California returns of Chris Hero and Hook Bomberry!
Please remember that the new bell time for the event is 7:00PM!
