SoCal News & Notes 05/18/2017

In today’s News & Notes we have updates from Sabotage, Bar Wrestling, FIST, AOW, Baja Stars USA, FCW, Maverick Pro, FPW, UEW, CWFH, and much more. Click for today’s Southern California wrestling news and notes update.

Sabotage Wrestling’s August 5th show in Imperial Beach is going to be promoted as an inter gender warfare show and will consist exclusively of inter gender matches.

Raze, who won a Weird City Warfare match to be the number one contender to Delilah Doom’s Sabotage championship, will not be facing Doom at the August 5th show. The promotion advised that the match will actually take place prior to August 5th at a time and location to be announced.

The only names officially announced for August 5th so far are Thunder Rosa, Holidead, and Shotzi Blackheart. This will be Shotzi Blackheart’s San Diego debut.

The show will also feature another pre-show talent show featuring the wrestlers, which have big hits at the last two Sabotage shows.

Online tickets sold out to Bar Wrestling’s June 8th debut show in Baldwin Park. There will be a limited number of tickets available at the door on a first come, first served basis.

FIST Combat announced they will be holding a one-night eight-man tournament on September 1st in San Diego.

Alpha Omega Wrestling will be making its return on June 18th in Victorville. Already announced for the show is Brian Cage taking on Willie Mack.

Baja Stars USA announced AAA’s Pagano for their June 10th show. They had actually been working on bringing him in for months and helped with his visa. This will be Pagano’s United States debut.

The reason Black Mamba was added to the match between Nightmare Azteca and Efekto at May 13th’s Baja Stars USA show was that Efekto was stuck in Mexicali and called that he wouldn’t be able to make the show. Black Mamba was then called as a replacement but Efekto was able to make it to the venue in time after all so it was just turned into a triple threat.

Finest City Wrestling has announced Heather Monroe and Thunder Rosa as the next two women to join their six-woman tables, ladders, and chairs match on July 22nd in Imperial Beach. Sage Sin Supreme was previously announced.

Thunder Rosa will be wrestling in Tijuana as her Lucha Underground character Kobra Moon for Promociones EMW. She will be teaming with Kevin Kross against Dr. Wagner Jr. and Ayako Hamada. The event will be taking place at the Auditorio de Tijuana.

Desi De Rata (Jeslen Mishelle) is scheduled to have an MMA fight on June 24th’s King of the Cage event in Oroville, CA.

Su Yung will be making her Southern California debut at Maverick Pro’s June 24th show in Los Angeles when she takes on Christina Von Eerie.  Also announced for the show is B-Boy versus Dicky Mayer. I was told Adrian Quest versus Chris Kadillak is also scheduled for the show.

With the closing of the Clela Arena the Fusion Pro Wrestling show scheduled for May 28th has been moved to the American Legion post #335 in South Gate.

UEW has officially announced their June 10th show has been moved to VFW Post #10040 in Sun Valley.

Peter Avalon will face Ryan Taylor in a non-title match on May 28th’s Championship Wrestling from Hollywood show in Port Hueneme.

Championship Wrestling from Hollywood announced a free show at Meltdown Comics in Los Angeles on June 17th.

The Hobo will be making his debut for Action Zone Wrestling in Hawaii on June 12th.
