The Los Angeles Tour was said to be successful for Stardom. Friday was said to be a really hot crowd, but there was a larger attendance for the Sunday show. The show also featured some notables in the audience; MMA Star and Pro Wrestler and member of the 4 Horsewomen Shayna “Queen of the Spades” Baszier (who would unsuccessfully challenge Melissa for the Lady Luck Championship) as well as former WWE and NJPW wrestler Yoshi Tatsu, and Head Writer for Lucha Underground Chris Dejoseph. A return in 2016 is already being talked about.
Kairi Hojo Injured
Fans were disappointed as part of the post show festivities when Kairi Hojo didn’t return to take pictures with the rest of the roster. It turns out on Sunday in the tag match with Melina against Hudson and Mia Yim that she was knocked out on her feet and suffered a concussion. She has been removed from the shows this weekend. We wish Kairi a speedy recovery.
Iwatani Dual Champion
Mayu Iwatani defeated La Rosa Negra for the High Speed Title Championship on October 11th in Tokyo. Becoming a duel champion, she is also “Goddesses of Stardom” Tag Team Champions with Io Shirai. Although the duo defended their titles on the second night of the tour against Kellie Skater and Hiroyo Matsumoto, Iwatani did not defend the High Speed Title against Nicole Savoy.
Good Luck in Japan
NWA Woman’s Champion & Shine Champion Santana Garrett along with SoCal’s very own Datura are among those scheduled to be in Japan for Stardom this weekend. As well as AWS Ladies Champion Hudson Envy are returning to Japan for the next Stardom Tour.
