Do you have a favorite match on the Indies? I’ve started attending Indy Wrestling Shows in late 2000. Of all the matches I’ve seen there are a handful that still stick with me, because I felt so blown away by the action I witnessed in the ring. Millennium Pro Wrestling produced one of those matches that I will always remember fondly and I’ll always be grateful for MPW pro putting this match together.
Ironically and sadly enough Low Ki announced his retirement yesterday via Twitter. Ki has had a fantastic career. Low Ki is a former PWG World Champion and won the Battle of Los Angeles Tournament in 2008. He was a ROH World Champion, the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, TNA X-Division Champion, and even was a member of the WWE Roster.
Southern California Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame member Super Dragon is not currently active in actual wrestling has been part of the driving force of Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and has had many contributions to the Southern California Scene. Dragon is a former PWG World Champion, CZW World Champion, he’s won 5 Match of the Year Awards in Southern California and winning Wrestler of the year in 2001, 2003, and 2004.
Sadly, MPW will be hosting their final show this Saturday, October 19th at the Simi Valley Boys and Girls Club in Simi Valley. Thanks to MPW for years of memories. If you can make it, you should definitely be there to send off MPW.
