Jay Cal’s View #80

Did you watch last week’s clip, what did you think?  TalkNWA this week is the Free For All, still looking for some new contributors to the site, Austin Aries has a big decision to make tonight and Buggy working for FCW?  Plus this weeks schedule.

Clip of the Week
To coincide with Aries decision tonight is a fun match he had with Scott Lost from WAR, which would later become EPIC Pro Wrestling WAR .  This match was from November 2004, although I went to many of the WAR shows, I didn’t make it to see this one live.  Hard to believe that this match was nearly 8 years ago.  Aries has a big decision to make tonight.  Scott Lost retired from wrestling (with only a brief gig refereeing in New Wave) and is working on a comic book.

Talk NWA
This weeks TalkNWA will be the highly anticipated FREE FOR ALL.  If you’d like to call in (646) 478-3019.  Seven Stages of Hate: Cabana vs. Pearce, NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion Kevin Douglas’ up-coming schedule, NWA On Fire on TUFF TV, NWA Hollywood releasing new episodes and more.

History of Wrestling in Southern California
As always, we’re trying to improve your experience on SoCalUNCENSORED. We’re going to be looking to add some media to the site. If you have pictures, fliers, promos, from SoCal’s Past, we want to see them. Email me at Jay.Cal@SoCalUNCENSORED.com if you would like to participate.

Decisions, decisions
I’ve said many times that I’m not a regular fan of TNA.  I typically don’t tune into Thursday Nights, but the connections to TNA and SoCal keep peeping my attention.  Obviously the discussion on the message board about Joey Ryan and the TNA Gut Check continues, but this deal with Austin Aries having to make the decision to stay X-Division Champion or forfeit the belt for a shot at the Impact World Champion at Destination X.

Buggy in the WWE
Apparently the 22 year old has signed with the World Wrestling Entertainment. In recent years the WWE has found a few women wrestlers in Southern California, Lisa Marie Varon (HBIC) who got her start with UPW, Melina Perez (Kyra) who got her start with EWF, and Shelly Martinez (Desire) who put in time a WPW.  Buggy credits the Ballard Brother’s with her training.  The last time I saw Buggy, was in NWA Hollywood when she was screaming for Candice LaRae’s blood.  I guess that match won’t be happening now.
