Jay Cal’s View #76

Tonight… Joey Ryan makes an IMPACT on Spike TV, Johnny Yuma is on iTunes, Magnum Pro is giving you free wrestling, talkNWA’s guest will be Ricky Cruz, Thanks and Goodbye to Angel Santos, plus this week’s schedule of matches.   Joey Ryan makes an IMPACT
Bringing Sleazy to TNA, as part of the Gut-Check, Joey Ryan makes his first appearance in TNA Impact.  Joey Ryan has made appearances for the WWE, Ring of Honor, and has been a major player for NWA Hollywood and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla.  Joey was featured in Ring Ka King (which is a TNA brand) and the unreleased Wrestling Retribution Project.  I haven’t heard specifically if Joey is joining TNA… but wish the guy nothing but the best on making it to the next level.  Joey is set to wrestle another SoCal Regular tonight in Austin Aries.

It’s Johnny Yuma!!!
I hope you are ready to Rock, because Johnny Yuma is ready to role!  Making its debut on iTunes and CDBaby earlier this week.  You’ve heard it at SoCal Pro and NWA Hollywood now you can listen to it, whenever you want.  Yuma is the 2nd artist from NWA Hollywood to get his single out on CD Baby as did our friend Angelo Trinidad did just a few months ago.

MAGNUM PRO
Remember when IWL had a big show on April 20th.  Remember when the Frosted Tip Warriors Squared off against each other, Ryan Kidd and Eddie Randle?  If you saw it live, see it again with the Free Match: MAGNUM Pro Offer

Talk NWA
This weeks TalkNWA will Ricky Cruz who will be taking on Adam Pearce for Dynamo Pro Wrestling in the St. Louis Area next weekend.  Cruz has been a featured player in IWA Puerto Rico and is looking to make his name in the Midwest.  Facing his toughest test to date in the former 4 time NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion, Cruz will talk to us about wrestling in the Midwest, his time in Puerto Rico, and a lot more.  Remember you can call in (646) 478-3019.

Angel Santos is done in SoCal
This week via the SoCal Pro Facebook Page it was announced that , SoCal Pro regular Angel Santos has wrestled his last match in Southern California.  Santos is moving to Florida to pursue his education.  I wouldn’t be surprised to see him land with one of the many Florida Wrestling Promotions.  Angel Santos has the credit of squaring off against Nick Madrid in Madrid’s first match in California.  I remember the first time seeing Santos and thought he had a ton of potential, but thought he needed a lot of work.  Santos got better with every show.  When he returned to active duty in the military, he came back bigger and better.  The last two matches I saw of Santos were really good.  I didn’t see his last match with SoCal Pro, but the one before when he defeated Ricky Mandel was real good.  As well as his match against Shaun Ricker for the NWA Hollywood Live Event in Downey.  I’ll be one of the guys sorry to see Santos go, but wish him all the luck in Florida and maybe we’ll see him again soon.
