Its Easter Weekend, a few shows are on the calendar if you haven’t heard yet, AWS is coming BACK! A lot of familiar faces returning. NWA Hollywood has Three huge championship matches, updates on my podcast, what’s up with Lucha Pro, and of course the shows this weekend.
Alternative Wrestling Show Returns ?
AWS promotions in 2012. Here is just a few names that will be on the new roster. Alkatrazz, Crystal White, Ray Rosas, Johnny Goodtime (AWS Heavyweight Champion), Sindarin (The AWS Lightweight Champion), Scorpio Sky, Lil Cholo, Christina Von Eerie (The AWS Women’s Champion). Johnny Paradise, Candice LeRae and …more to be announced.
Only the dead see the end of a war
The feud between NWA Worlds Champion Adam Pearce and Colt “Boom-Boom” Cabana was rebooted at the last round of television taping. I fully expect to see these two to pull out all the stops this weekend. The last time these two faced off in Hollywood the crowd was electric, the energy was palpable, it was really a huge moment. Lets see what happens Sunday. I’m also really looking forward to Kevin Douglas and Johnny Yuma for the NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Championship. I really think Yuma could break through as a singles in NWA Hollywood and if he got an upset victory in Hollywood over Douglas, I think he’d take off Nationally. There are a lot of good matches on this card, but a potential match of the year will be for that International TV Title match when Scorpio Sky and Ryan Taylor lock horns for the first time in NWA Hollywood.

This weeks TalkNWA will feature Mark Bravura, who is the NWA Fusion Continental Champion and occasionally tag teams with Shaun Ricker. I know the “Mempho Mofo” has attempted to work out in SoCal, but scheduling conflicts just haven’t panned out. You never know, Bravura could becoming to SoCal soon.
Lucha Pro
An enigma, wrapped in a question, stowed in a box, placed under your pillow. Trying to find out what exactly is going on with Lucha Pro is growing increasingly difficult. I’ve sent out a few inquires just to see if they are running and I haven’t heard a word. So I’m still under the impression they a running weekly, but go at your own risk.
