Another weekend of action coming to you, I hope you like Lucha Libre. Just Four Days away from the Territory League’s Championship Series. Mach-1 is back, its official. Nick Lovin will be on TalkNWA this week with Kahagas. And San Diego is about to get Massive. Plus this week’s schedule of wrestling.
Territory League Championship Series
It is hard to gauge the level of intrigue by our regular readers when it comes to the Territory League, because the first time anything was posted about the promotion, it seemed very artificial, with new posters talking about only the positives of the TL. It was hard for me personally to get behind it, when I felt I was being insulted by what was basically spam. Although I thought it had a very interesting premise. Next Tuesday the League will crown its first champion. And before the big show, it seems a lot of the Teams in the League signed some ringers. Our own Los Angeles Templars signed Chavo Guerrero Jr. to beef up either their Cruiser-weight or the Luchador division. The rest of the Templars are Vampire Warrior, Black Pearl, Scott Anthony, and Parker Greaves. Also Carlito and Pimp Fatha Join The Territory League as members of the High Rollers, joining Jr. Fatu, Grand Master Sexy, Scotty 2 Hotty, Jeckles the Jester, Ricky the Activist, Pastor Phipps, and Latigo Blanco. I’m not sure what these ringers will do to the lesser known indy guys that have been a part of the League since the inception. If you’re going, send us a review of the show.
Mach-1 Wrestling is back!
Jon Ian posted on Facebook Earlier today that “After M1W’s hiatus, we realize we have some catching up to do so we will start back up with 2 shows in 1 day! All of your favorites will be on hand for the return of Mach-1 Wresting with M1W “Double Down”!” Mach-1 Wrestling “Double Down” will take place at the Epic Lounge located at 8239 2nd St. Downey, CA 90241. Tickets will $12.00 per show, or both shows for $20.00 with bell times of 2 and 6PM.
Talk NWA
This weeks TalkNWA will feature the Tokyo Monster Kahagas. You might not have heard of him on the West Coast, but he is a guy who works all over. He travels as far North as Massachusetts as far West as Texas and all over the South East, while working dates in Mexico and Puerto Rico. We’ll also be playing a recorded interview with “Lovin” Nick Lovin from SoCal Pro’s February show.
Stay Massive San Diego
The City of San Diego and its surrounding county suffered a loss when SoCal Said Good Bye To New Wave. And although New Wave won’t be replaced, there will be another place to watch wrestling, with Pro Wrestling Massive. There was a lot of initial controversy with the debut show, when the show went from being a public outing to a private one. Massive boasts a pretty competitive roster and I’ll be very interested to hear how this show plays out.
