MPW’s ”Slammin Saturday Night” Oct. 2nd 2010

MPW’s Slammin’ Saturday Night returns to the Simi Valley Yankee Doodle’s 2830 Tapo St. Simi valley, CA 93063. Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $7.00 for kids 10 and under. BellTime is 7:00 PM. Doors open at 6:00 PM.There will be drink specials at the full bar and there’s a large variety of food from the kitchen. Whiskey Fists MacIntosh with manager Tex Tunney challenges MPW Maximum Champion Logan X. The second half of the MPW Tag Team Tournament continues with Anchor’s Away taking on Under Pressure and Hobo and later that night The Ballards will take on Disco Machine and Rising Son. And in the Main Event, Bo Cooper will wrestle the vicious newcomer Tool. Also, “BS” Cohen says that he has a huge announcement to make on that night. Omar Slam Duncan vs. Jarek Matthews.

Duncan definitely has the height and reach advantage over Matthews but just like in his past MPW matches, Jarek never lets that make a difference. Matthews is known as the “straight edge suplex machine” for a reason as he will drop you on both your head and neck until he gains a victory. Duncan is also a great athlete but also willing to do whatever it takes to gain a victory as seen in his latest YouTube video.

Fern Owens vs. Hellkid w/Tex Tunney.

These two vicious rule breakers will be doing battle to see who the more sinister of the two are.  Despite his appearance, Owens is a solid competitor who has gained the respect of everyone in the MPW locker room. While the troubled Hellkid continues to run rampant and is so far undefeated here in MPW, both will stoop to every low to gain a victory over each other. Owens’ motivation is to continue to climb the MPW ladder while Hellkid’s motivation for victory is to destroy Logan X.

Los Nerds (Fan Boy & Almighty Ray) vs. Mario Banks & Spectre w/Tex Tunney.

The old school manager Tunney is at it again and combined two of his “Territory Kings” in hopes of gaining future gold for his organization and still being a thorn on the side of MPW Commissioner Dan Farren. While Banks and Spectre have never teamed before, Los Nerds have been teaming up and have a victory over BS Enterprises. Tunney’s protégés are not above cheating to gain a victory but the Nerds have overcome that in the past.

MPW Maximum Champion Logan X vs. Whiskey Fists MacIntosh w/Tex Tunney.

Logan will be making his first title defense after winning the title in a battle royal back at “Return of the Scrap Iron.” Under Tunney’s tutelage, MacIntosh has gained a victory over Omar Slam Duncan. Logan definitely has the speed advantage and possesses great aerial ability. While MacIntosh has the ability to confound his opponents with his comical style of wrestling but also has Tunney and the other “Territory Kings” by his side to back him up. Logan is a fighting champion and does not rely on rule-breaking to win but if he is to gain a victory he needs to be always watching his back for Tunney and the others.

Brandon Parker vs. Chris Kadillak.

Despite his loss against Ryan Taylor at the last Slammin’ Saturday Night, Parker has proven that he is an up and comer and one of the most talented stars here in MPW.  Kadillak is a newcomer to MPW but has wrestled elsewhere and is a great high flyer and as equally as talented as Parker. In my view, this may be the match of the night as these two will pull out all the stops to prove who the better man is.

Anchor’s Away vs. Under Pressure & Hobo. (Semi Final Tag Team Tournament)

Half of the MPW Tag Team title Tournament Semi Final match. The two sailors have been teaming with each other for a very long time and definitely have the advantage over Pressure and Hobo in terms of teamwork. And there still looms the questions of just how much longer Hobo can take of Pressure’s abuse. After all, Hobo was in the ring the majority of the time when he and his “master” took on Big Meat Inc. And it was only because of Pressure’s underhanded tactics that got them the win in the first place. With that being said, Pressure and Hobo can make a formidable duo as long as they are on the same page.

The Ballards vs. Rising Son and Disco Machine. (Semi Final Tag Team Tournament)

These four exciting veterans are sure to tear the house down in another MPW Tag Team Title Semi-Final match. The Ballards are the most decorated and dominant tag team in all of MPW and have held titles all over the State but have never held the MPW tag team belts. Rising Son and Disco Machine are two high flying veterans who have also never held the tag team belts.  Both teams are out there not only to advance to the finals of the tag team tournament but also to see who the better tag team is. But the Ballards do have a trump card up their sleeve in their valet, Krystal Allure, who is not afraid to get physically involved in a match.

Brawlin’ Bo Cooper vs. Tool.

The “Rude, crude, and tattooed” veteran is attempting to continue his win streak by taking on the large and vicious newcomer Tool. Billy Blade is attempting to avenge his loss against Cooper by bringing the mysterious Tool. This will be another all out brawl and there will be plenty of broken furniture.

Also, “BS” Cohen says that he has a huge announcement to make on that night. We’ll find out on the 2nd.
