Jay Cal’s View 16th

Jay Cal’s View is back in its 16th edition. And although this will be a brief edition its still packed with upcoming weekend events and last weeks results. I also briefly write about NWA Championship Wrestling from Hollywood, the new SoCal Pro Heavyweight Champion, and if you haven’t yet, check out my podcast with Willie Mack! The one hour special on the History of the National Wrestling Alliance aired last Friday on KDOC-TV, was received with a mix reaction with the folks here on SoCal UNCENSORED. I thought the show did its job by portraying the rich history of the NWA to reconnect with fans who grew up watching the National Wrestling Alliance.  If you missed it, the original version is now available on www.nwahollywood.com under their television section.  And tomorrow night, KDOC-TV will air the one hour special on the NWA World Champion Adam Pearce.  I’ve been told that this show will feature a look at the champion and showcase some of his biggest matches as champion.  Matches from the NWA Showcase taping in Oceanside, CA and Yuma, AZ. over the summer are said to be on this episode.  I’m really looking  forward to seeing how well the match between Joey Ryan and Adam Pearce will translate on television.

SoCal Pro Wrestling ran they’re huge Super Clash Event last weekend.  All the results are posted in further down this article.  I had a great time at the Oceanside Boys and Girls Club.  I wrote a review about the show and you can read it here.  In a post win celebration, with a ring full of fans and friends, Hector Canales drenched in beer and champagne declared he would accept the rematch with Ricky Mandell on Oct.

Thanks to everyone who tuned into my podcast with Mach-1 Heavyweight Champion Willie Mack.  Prior to the show, I didn’t know that Willie Mack was playing College Football while starting his career as a wrestler.  And its kind of symbolic that Mack started his career at the Anaheim Market Place and reaching higher levels everyday, but wrestles weekly across the street from at the American Sports Centers.  If you missed it, you can listen to the archives
