SoCal Pro Heavyweight Championship

“The Mirror Image” Ricky Mandel (c) w/ C. Edward Vander Pyle vs. Hector “El Chido” Canales

– Sometimes the best of friends make the best of enemies. This is such the case for Hector Canales and Ricky Mandel who used to be not only best friends but tag team champions. Cool Imagery was created in early 2008 and the duo became the first ever SCP Tag Team Champions by defeating The Ballard Brothers on November 8, 2008. Cool Imagery ran strong as a tag team the following year and defeated tag teams such as Anchors Away, LTP and Willie Mack, and “White Trash” Johnny Webb and Redheaded Stepchild to retain the tag team titles. At Super Clash 2009, The Ballard Brothers challenged Cool Imagery to a Penalty Box Match for the SCP Tag Team Championship. All the odds where stacked against the champions going into the match because The Ballard Brothers were involved in a past Penalty Box Match.

– Hector Canales and Ricky Mandel did everything they could do to go home with the gold around their waists, however, they became former champions and The Ballard Brothers had their arms raised in triumph as the new SCP Tag Team Champions. After the match was over, Mandel decided to turn on his former tag team partner and speared him into the mat. A post interview was conducted with Mandel and he pretty much turned on Canales for bigger and better things. Mandel went on to find himself a manager in C. Edward Vander Pyle and they set up a Mirror Image Challenge to any wrestler in the world such as Nick Lovin, Extremo, and Amazing Web. None of these wrestlers were able to beat Ricky in The Mirror Image Challenge until a masked wrestler named El Tortillero answered the challenge of Mandel and Vander Pyle. El Tortillero scored an upset win over The Mirror Image and gained possession of The Mirror Image Title that Mandel began defending in the beginning of 2010.

– Just when the SoCal Pro fans thought Mandel was down and out, he won the SCP Heavyweight Title on the same night that he lost his Mirror Image Title. After Mandel and Vander Pyle celebrated the victory of winning the SCP Heavyweight Title, El Tortillero came down to ringside and confronted Mandel. El Tortillero unmasked and was revealed to be none other than Hector “El Chido” Canales. Going under a mask wrestler was the only way for Canales to get some revenge since he was not allowed to lay his hands on Mandel. Canales tried to persuade the SCP brass to give him a title shot against Ricky Mandel to get his full revenge, but he was denied his title shot month after month.

– Hector’s opportunity to face Ricky for the SCP Heavyweight Title finally became a reality because he is the new number one contender by defeating SoCal Crazy at last month’s SoCal Pro show. The SCP Heavyweight Title Match is officially signed and set for Saturday, September 18 and Mandel cannot back down from his highly anticipated match against Hector Canales. What will happen when Cool Imagery shatters? Find out at Super Clash if a champion retains his title or a new champion is crowned.

NWA World Heavyweight Championship

“Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce (c) vs. Chimaera

– Adam Pearce will defend the famous 10 pounds of gold against a new challenger in Chimaera. Earlier this year, Pearce has taken on all comers and has defeated every single one of them to keep the coveted NWA World Heavyweight Title in his possession. 2010 has been a good year thus far for the current NWA World Heavyweight Champion since he defeated then-champion Blue Demon, Jr. and Phill Shatter in a Three-Way Elimination Match on March 14, 2010 to become a three-time champion. When Pearce became champion again, he was made into an instant target for many wrestlers who wanted a chance to wrestle the Scrap Daddy for the oldest prize in professional wrestling. Wrestlers successfully tried to defeat Pearce, but they all failed to accomplish their one common goal in representing the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) as the promotion’s World Heavyweight Champion. Tommy Wilson, Johnny Goodtime, Joey Ryan, Sean “X-Pac” Waltman, Ryan Taylor, Bryan Danielson, Charlie Haas, and recently Scorpio Sky have been added to the long list of opponents who were defeated by Adam Pearce.

– Will Chimaera be the next victim added to Pearce’s list? Chimaera begs to differ and has told the SoCal Pro brass and the NWA Board of Directors that he is ready, willing, and able to challenge for the NWA World Heavyweight Title. Chimaera was made the number one contender due to his impressive winning streak in SoCal Pro. The right people took notice of Chimaera’s winning ways and presented him with his first ever title shot on a SoCal Pro show. Chimaera is not going to take this title shot and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to wrestle the Scrap Daddy in a main event caliber match lightly. Can Chimaera do the unthinkable at Super Clash and become the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion? Or Will “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce continue his reign as a three-time champion for many more months to come?

Six-Man Tag Team Match

“Radiant” Jason Redondo & SCP Tag Team Champions RockNES Monsters (Johnny Yuma & Johnny Goodtime) vs. “Mr. Megastar” Tommy Wilson, “Pretty” Peter Avalon, and Ric Ellis

– The feud between Jason Redondo and Tommy Wilson continues with the two former SCP Heavyweight Champions being featured in a Six-Man Tag Team Match. The Radiant One will have the current SCP Tag Team Champions in his corner and Mr. Megastar will be paired with the newest tandem of Peter Avalon and Ric Ellis. The last time Redondo and Wilson wrestled, their singles match ended in a double disqualification and there was no decisive winner. At Super Clash, Redondo and Wilson get another chance to battle each other, and both men hope to score the deciding victory for his respective team.

– The RockNES Monsters also have a score to settle with Peter Avalon since he went out of his way to find a new tag team partner in Ric Ellis. Avalon believes he is an uncrowned tag team champion and deserves another opportunity to wrestle for the SCP Tag Team Championship. If Avalon or his new tag team partner manage to score a pinfall or even make one of the RockNES Monsters submit, then the SCP brass could possibly name Avalon and Ellis as the number one contenders to the tag team titles. Johnny Yuma and Johnny Goodtime welcome Avalon and Ellis to the tag team division, however, The RockNES Monsters still want proof that Avalon and Ellis are a worthy enough tag team and potential challengers. What will unfold when these six men do battle in the ring?

Grudge Match

SoCal Crazy vs. Johnny Paradise

– SoCal Pro fans would have seen the current SCP Heavyweight Champion Ricky Mandel defend his title against SoCal Crazy in the Super Clash main event, but they will actually see Mandel take on his former best friend and tag team partner, Hector Canales for the heavyweight title. Last month, SoCal Crazy’s dream to become a three-time SCP Heavyweight Champion was destroyed because one of his greatest rivals, Johnny Paradise, decided to cost him being the number one contender to the SCP Heavyweight Championship. Paradise does not want an old feud to end and his feud with SoCal Crazy is being rekindled in SoCal Pro. The SoCal Crazy/Johnny Paradise rivalry began in the now-defunct Alternative Wrestling Show (AWS), carried over to SoCal Pro, and ended when AWS ran its final show this summer.

– Half of 2010 was dedicated to SoCal Crazy wrestling Johnny Paradise with specialty matches such as a Title vs. Title Match, a Steel Cage Match, a Fatal Four-Way Match, and a No Disqualification, Falls Count Anywhere Match to end their feud, or so we thought. The former two-time AWS Heavyweight Champion, Johnny Paradise holds a grudge because he is still upset about losing the AWS Heavyweight Title to SoCal Crazy on a SoCal Pro show. Paradise will never allow this feud to end until there is no more SoCal Crazy. The Loco Luchador will need to step up a little more to finally put a lock on his feud with Paradise. Can the former two-time SCP Heavyweight Champion prevail once again in his Grudge Match against Johnny Paradise? Or will the former two-time AWS Heavyweight Champion make SoCal Crazy’s life a living hell?

Singles Match

Kid Caramba vs. “Lovin” Nick Lovin

– These two rookies have been training out of the SoCal Pro Wrestling School and they will finally meet one-on-one next month. Nick Lovin wants to redeem himself by picking up his second win in SoCal Pro since female wrestler, Kitana Vera, defeated him and he was ridiculed in his attempt to join the RockNES Monsters. Kid Caramba is looking for “W” number one and he hopes to earn bragging rights as the better rookie than Nick Lovin. Which SoCal Pro rookie will prevail in this match? Find out on September 18.

Singles Match

Aerial Star vs. Angel Santos

– Angel Santos returns to Super Clash 2010 in singles action as he faces the high-flying sensation, Aerial Star. Despite coming up on the losing end of his past match against Jason Redondo, the Puerto Rican wrestler plans to defeat Aerial Star at SoCal Pro’s upcoming event and become the victor. Aerial Star will need to bring more than his usual aerial assault to put away the power and strength of Angel Santos. Can Aerial Star earn a fifth win as a singles wrestler? Or will Angel Santos make Aerial Star his prey?
