Westcoast Wrestling Company Heavyweight Title Ladder Match:

Chris Evans (Champion) vs. Jameson Stafford (Challenger)

From the time they met in training in February of 2008 these two became immediate friends and began working various shows throughout the area. However, when the Westcoast Wrestling Company announced its debut show on September 27th, 2008 these two began a friendly rivalry that would eventually escalate. After a great friendship turned into a rocky partnership, these two squared off in a one-on-one encounter that never saw a finish as The Industry of Devin Sparks and Ric Ellis interfered in the match and robbed both men of their chance to see just who the better wrestler was.

After borrowing the duo’s ring time to announce the forming of The Industry, Devin Sparks and Ric Ellis began recruiting efforts, trying to convince Chris Evans to join their group. While it clouded the trust of Stafford, Evans would eventually turn down the offer for a chance at retribution. The two got their chance to get even with The Industry on March 7th, 2009. The match would take a turn for the worst, however, when Stafford injured his knee during the first few minutes and Evans was forced to compete by himself. After being given the handicap treatment by both, Stafford hobbled out and made the miraculous tag in. Sparks and Ellis got up, Stafford got in, and Evans got kicked right in the nads. It would turn out that Jameson Stafford had been in cahoots with The Industry the whole time and he was now officially a member at the expense of his former friend’s well-being, as a three on one beatdown ensued.

Both Evans and Stafford found themselves booked in the Heavyweight Title tournament in April. Stafford would make the valiant-yet sleazy-sacrifice for his new pal Devin Sparks, giving up his shot at the title by deciding instead to take out the leg of the odds-on favorite for the belt, Krazy Kyle Haystacks, with a chair during his match. Chris Evans would instead opt to shine as he defeated Terex and Ric Ellis, but lost to Devin Sparks in the finals via a very controversial reverse decision.

The following month in the rematch, however, things would turn out different as the rising sensation would fend off interference from both Stafford and Ellis to defeat Devin Sparks for the big one. This turned into the biggest celebration to date as fans rushed the ring and forced The Industry out of the arena.

Finally, at “A Westcoast Summer” on August 29th, Evans would be scheduled to face Sparks one last time. During the show’s opening segment, the new champ would end up telling Stafford to his face that he is over their beef now that he has the title. He told his former friend that he was better than The Industry, better than the Wildcard Title (a gift that had been given to him by his partners), and he belonged in the main event instead of Sparks. Stafford, to the chagrin of his cohorts, left the ring looking quite conflicted. Stafford would go on to convince the crowd that Evans was correct in his assumptions by taking Krazy Kyle Haystacks to his limit in a Street Fight. So much so that the veteran’s hate was replaced by respect as he raised his opponent’s arm after the match. Chris Evans went on to prove his legitimacy as he once again fended off Ric Ellis during his title defense only to turn around and see Stafford standing behind him. Evans was prepared to fend him off as well, only to realize that his words had sunk in. Stafford threw a fistful of powder right into Devin’s eyes and, following Evans’ victory, celebrated with his former “former friend”. Just as the fans thought the reuniting of these two friends was solidified, Stafford betrayed Evans for the second time in the same year by taking him out with his own belt and repeatedly blasting him with a chair. Stafford ended the evening by placing his knee in the champ’s throat and making it known that Evans was right about two things. He was better off without The Industry, and he belonged in the main event.

Stafford laid out the challenge. Evans has accepted. Will Chris Evans retain his title in the most important match of his career thus far? Or will Jameson Stafford realize his potential and, quite literally, take his seat at the top of the ladder?

Last Man Standing Match

Adam “Impact” Ginsberg (Westcoast Wrestling Company Owner) vs. Ric Ellis

In the months leading up to July, Ric Ellis threatened Westcoast Wrestling Company Owner, Adam Ginsberg, reminding him that he should start taking Ellis seriously. Ginsberg, making light of the comment, continued his outward frustrations with The Industry. That night, Ric
Ellis defeated Robert Hall and then viciously attacked him with a chair, even using the chair to dislocate his shoulder with a crossface. Three unconscious referees later, Ginsberg stormed into the ring and asked Ellis what the hell he thought he was doing. It was then that he made the mistake of a lifetime. Ginsberg turned his back on Ellis to tend to Hall. A chair shot, an extremely hard crossface, and about a liter of blood later Adam Ginsberg found himself in the back of an ambulance and on his way to the hospital.

The next month, Ellis defeated Tyler Bateman with intent to give him the same treatment as he did Hall, until Ginsberg showed up from the crowd and laid Ellis out with two hard chair shots himself. He announced that he retired from pro wrestling on September 27th 2008, and that against the orders of his doctor, the desires of his family, and the recommendations of his friends he was going to book himself in one more match. It would be Ric Ellis. It would be Adam Ginsberg. It would be Last Man Standing. It would be a fight to the finish.

Singles Match

Devin Sparks vs. Markus Riot

After losing the title and the rematch, Devin Sparks must now face the burden of working his way back into title contention. As a star who has already proven himself, Markus Riot intends on using Devin as a stepping stone to greater things during his debut in the company. With both men setting their sights on earning a future title match, it
will be methodical old-school versus fast-paced and high-flying.

#1 Contendership Fatal Four-Way Match

Krazy Kyle Haystacks vs. Matt Twiztid vs. Thunderwolf vs. Rudy Luna

After coming up short in the four-way match for the Wildcard Title in July, Rudy Luna and Thunderwolf are still chomping at the bit to get ahead in the rankings. Matt Twiztid is looking to re-claim his position in the main event. Kyle Haystacks is wondering just how many more matches he is going to have to win before he gets his shot at the title that would surely have been his had Stafford not taken out his leg. With all four men wanting the next title shot as bad as they do, there’s no telling what they will do to secure it. It’s fatal four-way and it’s for the top spot!

Three Team Elimination Tables Match:

The Card (Johnny Saovi & Doom) vs. The Suburban Commandos (D-Unit & T-Rent) vs. The Negro Division (LTP & Willie Mack)

At last year’s debut show, three teams tore each other apart in this very match. We at the Westcoast Wrestling Company have decided to make this match an annual tradition. This year, we have decided to give three different teams the opportunity to shine. With rumors amidst about the possible introduction of Tag Team Titles this year, this match may very well be a preview of things to come. Expect this match to feature innovation at its finest!
