Battleground Pro Wrestling returns on May 2

This Saturday night, the Ameriacn Legion Hall will be rocking and rolling when Battleground Pro Wrestling presents,”May Day.”MSN.com has the following to say about May Day-
May Day, holiday of ancient origin, observed on the first day of May, especially in Europe. It has traditionally been celebrated with merrymaking and festivities. Some experts trace May Day celebrations back to agricultural and fertility rites of pre-Christian times. Others associate May Day festivals with ancient Roman rites practiced in honor of Flora, the Roman goddess of spring.

The good folks at Battleground Pro have decided to celebrate springtime by putting together an exciting night of professional wrestling.

The Stepfather, who barely survived the streetfight last month against Extreme Loco, will have all he can handle and more when he takes on the Awesome Plague! Will his fellow Poor Horsemen be able to help him get by this monster?

Chiamera is the man holding the Maximum Championship. For those who do not know the history behind the Max belt, it was defended in PCW, as well as the legendary UIWA! Former champions include Lil’ Cholo, B-Boy, Marcus Riot, Prime Time Peterson, and the late Byron “Tech Nine” Walker! Chimaera will defent this legendary title against both Kurokage and the mysterious masked Locura, from the Happy Minds Mental Health facility in San Diego.

Tag Team mayhem will ensue when Anchors Away, the sailors from San Diego, take on the team of The Exiled!

The small, young, but talented team of the Teacher’s Pets will face their toughest challenge yet when they take on The Poor Horsemen. A win here whould be huge for the team of Mr. MIT and Ellen Degenerate!

Crowd favorite Roadhouse will take on Drunk Uncle Ronnie, in a match sure to test the sobriety of both competetors.

The crowd can play along, as there will be alcohol served at this show, for those with the proper ID. Also on the show, SoCal legend Foob Dog, The Drunken Irishman, as well as the debuts of “Pretty” Peter Avalon and K-Dubb.

Tickets are only $10, making it the most inexpensive wrestling ticket in SoCal this Saturday night! Hope to see everyone there!
