On Sunday July 22, 2007 The Downey Elks Lodge will host HPW Resurrection. This event is headlined with a much anticipated HPW Heavyweight Title Defense, a special attraction tag team match, and a roster of gritty wrestlers looking for a chance to steal the show.Main Event for HPW Heavyweight Title
Mr. Instant Replay © vs. Scott Lost
Back at HPW’s Battle By the Bay event on April 29th 2006 Scott Lost pinned our Heavyweight Champion in the center of the ring. It was a special challenge match between Arrogance (Chris Bosh & Scott Lost) & the Young Bucks (Mr. Instant Replay & Slick Nick) in the main event. Fans will remember Scott Lost Pinned Mr. Instant Replay while Slick Nick Pinned Chris Bosh leading the match to end in a draw because the referees could not determine the winner out of the double pin fall situation. As a result the match makers in HPW declared Mr. Instant Replay’s next challenger to be the man who pinned him in a non title contest. Can Mr. Instant Replay walk away from the Elk’s Lodge still holding the gold? Or will Scott Lost gain 15 pounds around his waist in the form of the Heavyweight Championship?

Semi Main Tag Team showdown!
Joey Ryan & Karl the “Machine Gun” Anderson vs. the “Hardcore Homo” Angel & Kaos
The Real American Heroes Joey Ryan and Karl Anderson have been taking names across the country and taking titles along the way. However in HPW they face a formidable tag team combination in the form of Angel and Kaos.” HPW fans will remember Angel as one of the most entertaining and bizarre wrestlers on our roster, holding many victories over the young upstarts in So Cal like Markus Riot and Diablo to name a few. The Last time Kaos competed in a HPW ring was in our Heavyweight Title Tournament Back in January of 2006 where he was eliminated by Joey Ryan in the first round. Can this new team of Angel and Kaos upset the recent dominating Real American Heroes? Or will Joey Ryan and Karl Anderson live up to their reputations?

Blazing Riot (Leo Blaze & Markus Riot) vs. Guerrero De Sangre & Ronin

The young team of Leo Blaze and Markus Riot are out to make a name for themselves, and they want to use Guerrero De Sangre and Ronin as a stepping stone. Unfortunately for them Ronin and Guerrero De Sangre feel the same way. Ronin best known for his hard hitting strikes and intense power moves and Guerrero De Sangre is a hard hitting super agile big man luchador who is always hungry for competition. They may have different combat styles but their opposites create the perfect balance to what could be a very dominating team. One thing is for sure Blazing Riot can’t sell their opponents short otherwise it will be a costly mistake.

Charles Mercury and Ray “Biggie Biggz” Murillo vs. Dynamite Fury (Joey Dynamite & Fabien Fury)
Charles Mercury and Ray Murrillo reunite their former alliance to take on a new alliance making waves in the Lucha Libre scene in Southern California. Joey Dynamite and Fabien Fury are the reigning LLWF Tag Team Champions and have put their titles on the line against all challengers. They plan on making new waves in Southern California by shaking up the tag team division in HPW. At one point in their careers Mercury and Murillo held the Revolution Pro Tag Team Championship and defended the titles in a bloody and brutal steel cage match. Even though Mercury and Murillo have not been a team for some time they have years of experience over the fresh Dynamite Fury. Experience will definitely be the deciding factor in this match.

Human Tornado vs. Johnny Paradise
One of the most charismatic superstars to ever come out of Southern California returns to HPW taking on the debuting Johnny Paradise. Tornado is a well established Indy wrestler traveling to all parts of the country capturing many titles in both Tag Team, Cruiserweight, and Heavyweight divisions. Johnny Paradise is setting his sights on defeating Tornado so he can become a household name in wrestling. Paradise has the credentials to defeat Tornado in fact before Tornado became a household name Paradise has defeated Tornado both in single and tag team matches in various promotions in Southern California.

Plus 1 more match to be announced.
