NWA Pro/AWS Los Angeles Lightweight Title on the Line!
Champion – Lionheart
Challenger – Lil’ Cholo

It all comes down to this. Words cannot do justice to the feud we all have been witness to. These two bitter rivals have run the gamut, and after wild chair-clearing brawls and easily the most intense feud in California this year, it ends in the most brutal match in all of professional wrestling – inside the 15 foot high steel cage. Lionheart has gone from promising intense upstart and fan favorite to being one of the most despised wrestlers anywhere in the National Wrestling Alliance, and all of this in the span of six short months. Lil’ Cholo was the first to see the change in Lionheart, when Lionheart not only duped him, but the entire roster and fanbase with his so-called “retirement” speech months ago. A huge fan favorite in his own right, veteran Lil’ Cholo had his Lightweight title stolen from him when the two met in a lumberjack match, falling prey to the Romans 1:16 Neckbreaker onto the title belt. This combined with broken tables and bruised egos have brought us to this point. With the chain of events and the hatred that came with it, NWA officials made the call along with Bart Kapitzke to make this cage match happen, and it will, next Saturday! Only one man can leave with the title, but will either leave in one piece?

A Legend Returns!
Wrestling Legend Mil Mascaras y former NWA Pro Tag Champions Los Chivos
VS
Durango Kid, Chilango, y Shamu, Jr.
AWS was long known as the local outlet for exciting Lucha Libre action, and at Halloween Slaughterhouse III those old habits return! Fitting that an old friend returns with them as legendary Lucha superstar Mil Mascaras makes his return to the Frank and Sons arena to team with the super popular former Tag Champs, Enigma de Oro y Kayam, Los Chivos! They will bring their swagger and flavor of wrestling excellence up against the more-than-capable team of Durango Kid, Chilango, and Shamu, Jr. All three of these competitors are AWS alumni, with Durango Kid now a prominent fixture of the NWA Inoki Dojo Sunday shows every week. Be there on the 21st to pay tribute and welcome old friends and old tricks back to their old stomping grounds and see just exactly what made Los Chivos and Mil Mascaras the legends they are!

The Inaugural NWA Heritage Champion will be crowned!
Al Katrazz cost himself a chance at immortality when he caved a chair in on Bart Kapitzke’s head last month. That action cost him the AWS Title. Little did he know that the title would be merged with the newest singles title in the NWA – The Heritage Title. The championship committee of the NWA then had the arduous task of compiling a short list of competitors to vie for the gold at Halloween Slaughterhouse III. After consulting with Bart and local NWA Board Member David Marquez, they settled in on four athletes. It was decided that because NWA Pro/AWS would be one of the main territories recognizing the title, combined with the fact that the AWS Title was merged into it, and because the Champion would be crowned on AWS soil, it was only fitting that the two men that originally fought for the AWS Title should have a crack at the Heritage Belt. Therefore, the hugely popular Babi Slymm and the recently unlucky “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce are in the running. Pearce was an unpopular choice among fans because he has spent the better part of the last year losing every match he’s competed in. Most in the NWA attribute that to his former manager C. Edward Vander Pyle, who seems to be out of the picture now after being flattened with a mighty right hand from Pearce last month. Only time will tell if Pearce can turn things around. In addition, the other two men entered have been on the winning end of things as of late and have definitely earned the chance to be the very first Heritage champion. Brawlin’ Bo Cooper is fresh off of winning the NWA Pro Tag Team titles with Sexy Chino last show, and now he has the chance to be a double crown titleholder by winning Heritage gold. The Awesome Plague has also run roughshod over practically anything that crosses his path, raising the eyebrows of the NWA, and now he has his sights set on taking the title!
Quarterfinal Matches
Babi Slymm VS Adam Pearce
The Awesome Plague VS Brawlin’ Bo Cooper

The winners of these matches meet to crown the champion at Halloween Slaughterhouse III!

Tag Team Gauntlet Qualifier
The Tag scene in NWA Pro was summed up in just two words for most of the past year – Midnight Dynamite. Johnny Paradise and Charles Mercury personified the word consistency winning match after match until coming into their second showdown with Bump ‘n Grind – Sexy Chino and Brawlin’ Bo Cooper – last month. Luck was on the side of the ever-enigmatic Chino, as he landed a desperation top rope splash, and the titles came off the Dynamite. Now “Merc and Jerk” are right back where they started, working bottom up. They lace their boots as challengers for the fist time in a long time in this Contenders Gauntlet, where three other teams are also working to earn a shot at the gold on a future NWA Pro event. In there with them will be the Copa de Lucha Champions and former Tag Champs, Phoenix Star y Zokre – Los Luchas. They are riding very high right now, coming off their incredible win in Las Vegas over another team in the Gauntlet – Joey Ryan and Karl “Machine Gun” Anderson. Joey and the Gun want a piece of Los Luchas in the worst way after being embarrassed in Vegas. They also want the gold. Also in the mix are Shawn Riddick and Peter Goodman – “Ridiculously Good”. They’ve been on the scene recently with sidekick Andrew Hellman, and they’re also looking for a chance to shine. At Halloween Slaughterhouse III, all four teams get their shot!

Al Katrazz and Crayz w/Vander Pyle
VS
The Human Tornado and a Mystery Partner

Al Katrazz lost his gold and a hell of a lot of respect after nailing Bart Kapitzke full force with the “chairshot heard ‘round the world” last month. He and another Vander Pyle cohort, Crayz team up for a grudge tag team encounter with the Human Tornado and his mystery partner. Tornado had Katrazz seemingly beaten with the Triangle Choke before Katrazz got the shillelagh from Mr. Vander Pyle and whacked him across the bridge of the nose with it. Tornado, always a crowd favorite, was understandably dismayed at the way that match ended, with him losing out on a chance to win the then-AWS Title for a second time. He has vowed revenge on Katrazz and will be bringing a “mystery man” to NWA Pro/AWS. He has said that it’s a familiar face, and one that he feels will even the odds against Katrazz and the insane Crayz. We’ll find out on October 21st!

Tommy Wilson VS “The Professional” Scott Lost
Tommy Wilson had an impressive showing in last month’s main event tag war, teaming with Lil’ Cholo against Adam Pearce and Lionheart. So impressive in fact, that he pinned Pearce for his team’s victory. Now he looks to climb the ranks in the NWA by facing long-time AWS ring vet, Scott Lost. Lost has been absent as of late in NWA pro rings, but is no doubt ready for the challenge of the much-bigger Wilson. Can Lost’s experience win out, or will Tommy’s recent spell of winning luck and size prove too much for “The Professional”? At the Slaughterhouse, all bets are off!

Halloween Slaughterhouse III promises to be the biggest NWA/AWS event of the fall! Don’t miss out on the yearly tradition! It wouldn’t be uncommon to see wrestlers and kids alike in costume for the event, so bring the family! It all takes place on Saturday, October 21st at 1:15PM. DON’T MISS IT!!!
