Jesse Hernandez elected to the Southern California Pro-Wrestling Hall of Fame

We are pround to announce that Jesse Hernandez is the sole person to be elected to join the Southern California Pro-Wrestling Hall of Fame for 2006.Jesse has long been a fixture of the Southern California wrestling scene, from the hey-day of the Olympic to training hundreds of wrestlers at the School of Hard Knocks. After being trained by Southern California Hall of Famer, theGreat Goliath, Jesse made his debut in 1981. After the close of the Olympic promotion, Jesse wrestled and refereed for the WWF. Jesse also becamethe co-promoter of the WSWA in 1988 along side Bill Anderson. In 1996 Jesse Hernandez and Bill Anderson began the Empire Wrestling Federation, and the wrestling school, the School of Hard Knocks. Since a split with Bill Anderson in the late 1990’s, Jesse has been the sole promoter of the EWF and has trained, or has had a part in training countless wrestlers, including Chris Jericho, Melina Perez, Rico Constantino, Tom Howard, Frankie Kazarian, Los Cubanitos, Joey Ryan, among others. Already considered a legend in Souhern California wrestling, now Jesse can add Hall of Fame to his legendary resume.

To be inducted into the Hall of Fame, nominees needed to be listed on 60% of the ballots that were returned by a special panel of voters that include long time fans, wrestlers, promoters, and wrestling historians.

Jesse Hernandez was named on 79% of the returned ballots.
