Battle Ground Pro Wrestling June 17th, 2006 show preview

Battle Ground Pro Wrestling returns home to the American Legion Hall in Newhall, CA on Saturday night, June the 17th for another exciting night of independent pro wrestling! Here is a run down on what you can expect from Battle Ground Pro:Main Event: Battle Ground Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship Match
“Brawlin” Bo Cooper (c) vs. The Messiah

Since capturing the Battle Ground Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Title in March, “Brawlin” Bo Cooper has been a roll scoring victories over The Awesome Plague and “The Russian Hooligan” Alex Koslov much to the delight his hometown crowd and to the extreme displeasure of Commissioner Jason Bennett. Bennett desires nothing but power, and the Battle Ground Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Title is power. Tired of being embarrassed by the champ, Commissioner Bennett has gone out and found an opponent who, much like himself, is interested in power, a man who is interested in carnage and destruction, and a man who has proven he has what it takes. That man is none other than the former XPW and CZW Champion, The Messiah! The Messiah has been somewhat absent from the SoCal scene in recent months, but has promised Commissioner Bennett that he will not only take that title from Bo Cooper, but will destroy him in the process.

Lucha Libre Tag Team Action: Battle Ground Pro Lucha Libre Champion Li’l Cholo & The Sensational Junior vs. Infernal & Silver Tyger

The bad blood between the BiG Pro Lucha Libre Champion Li’l Cholo and Infernal has simmered for months, finally boiling over in their one on one bout last month that saw Cholo reverse one of Infernal’s signature moves into a quick roll up for the one, two, three. Incensed at the defeat, Infernal and fellow rudos Silver Tyger & R2K beat Cholo in the middle of the ring until the high flying Lucha sensation Junior made the save. On June 17th four of the principles involved collide in what promises to be a high flying Lucha-tastic affair, made only more potent by the mutual dislike of all those involved.

The Young Bucks (Slick Nick & Mr. Instant Replay) vs. Midnight Dynamite (Charles Mercury & Johnny Paradise) in a DOUBLE STRAP MATCH!

As if Battle Ground Pro weren’t already a center of bad blood, the vicious feud between these two young teams only intensified last month as both singles matches devolved into wild brawls and ended with the Young Bucks each handcuffed to the ring and beaten savagely with leather belts. That marks the second show in a row that neither of these teams could score a decisive victory over the other. The Young Bucks issued the challenge to MD-you want to play weapons? OK, we’ll play with weapons! This double strap match may be more vicious than any of us could possibly expect when these two teams collide. Will we finally see a clear-cut winner in this ongoing feud?

Triple Threat Match: Joey Harder vs. Hook Bomberry vs. “The Russian Hooligan” Alex Koslov
Three of the best young stars of the SoCal indy wrestling scene collide in this triple threat match. Alex Koslov came within a hair of capturing the Battle Ground Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Title last month, Joey Harder is undefeated thus far in Battle Ground Pro, and Hook Bomberry is known for his impressive mat skills up and down the west coast. Will Koslov regain his winning ways? Will Joey Harder stay undefeated? Can Hook pull off what many may view as the upset? Will Brandon Nitro, looking for revenge on Joey Harder for what transpired last month, be a factor? Come find out on June 17th!

Disco Machine issues another open challenge!

Last month marked the Battle Ground Pro Wrestling debut of none other than Disco Machine who after impressing all in attendance with his dance moves, quickly alienated himself from the Newhall audience by declaring himself too good to even be in the room. While soaking in the multitudes of ill tidings from the crowd, he declared an open challenge to the BiG Pro locker room, and that should anyone be able to pin his shoulders to the mat or make him submit that he would vanish from Battle Ground Pro forever! None other than Nikki answered his challenge; and she came inches away from defeating Disco. In the end, her victory was via DQ, and Disco reminded that crowd that since she failed to either pin him or make him submit, he would be around BiG Pro for a very, very, long time. One June 17th, he returns to issue his next open challenge!

The debut of “Dancin’ With Sexy Chino”!

That’s right, who is the only SoCal star who loves to dance maybe even more than he loves to wrestle?? Sexy Chino, that’s who! Chino has delighted crowds for the past several years with his impressive physique and lithe dance moves. Now, he brings those moves to Battle Ground Pro Wrestling for the very first time with his own dance segment, “Dancin’ With Sexy Chino”! It’ll be a festival for the senses that will need to be seen to be believed.

Also appearing will be The Awesome Plague w/Commissioner Jason Bennett, The Stepfamily (Stepdaddy & “Drunk” Uncle Ronnie w/The Red Headed Stepchild), “Marvelous” Markus Riot, and several more to be announced over the next week.
