This is a pretty big week here in SoCal. UPW ran it’s monthly Galaxy show on Wed. and on Saturday both XPW and Rev Pro are running.
This weeks Revolution Pro show looks like it will be much improved over last weeks. Last week a few things factored together to make a pretty bad show for Rev Pro, saved mostly by the match with Cubanitos and Mr. Excitement / Disco Machine. This Saturday’s show features some wrestlers like Black Steel and Spider Black, who haven’t been seen in Rev Pro before and the in ring return of TARO.
XPW is running it’s 2nd anniversary show, featuring a tournament for the brand new XPW TV title. It will be interesting to see how the tournament pans out. From the looks of the bracketing it appears to me like it will be a Kaos vs. Konnan final. Also it could be the last time Sabu is seen in XPW, although with MECW’s recent problems who really knows. XPW really needs to put on a good show here. The last two have been decent, but not good enough to get new fans to want to show up.
To top that all off on September 1st MPW will be running again, and continuing with their trend of putting on some fantastic matches, they have Super Dragon vs. Jardi Frantz which could very well be a Match of the Year candidate if everything plays out right.

There have been a lot of questions about the whole Survival Tobita deal. OK, here are some answers. Tobita was originally scheduled to come to SoCal Sept. 8th and 9th, but it has been pushed back to late October. Why? Two main reasons, one its cheaper then, two gives a little more time to promote that he is here. We will have an official announcement regarding when Tobita will be here hopefully by the 8th of September.

This month’s rankings will be interesting. I imagine it will be a little more mixed up than rankings over the previous months. A lot of different wrestlers put on great performances this month and there is no clear cut #1 like there has been in the last few months either. I won’t be voting in the rankings this month. I’ve only been to Rev Pro shows, so rather than submit biased rankings I’d rather let someone who had a better selection of shows vote in my spot this month. If I was going to submit rankings my #1 would be Los Cubanitos.
