Quintessential Pro returns to SoCal on October 8th

Quintessential Pro will be making its return to Southern California on October 8th after a year’s absence with “Quintapalooza“. First starting in April of 2013, Quintessential Pro ran shows both in Southern California and Nevada, including a joint show with AWS in April 2015. Their most recent show was held in Reno, Nevada in September of last year.

Quintessential Pro’s October 8th show will feature Matt Riddle versus Adam Thronstowe for Thornstowe’s Q Pro championship. Riddle, a former UFC fighter, made his SoCal debut at last week’s PWG Battle of Los Angeles, and was considered by some to be one of the breakout stars of the show despite his first round loss to Kyle O’Reilly. Adam Thornstowe is probably known best in Southern California as one half of the tag team Reno Scum and has recently been seen in PCW, FCW, and Championship Wrestling from Hollywood. Thornstowe is also a very accomplished singles wrestler, having won the 2015 King of the Indies tournament among his numerous championships.

Another match that has been announced for the show is what is being billed as a student versus teacher match when Joey Ryan takes on Brian Kendrick. Joey Ryan actually started his training at EWF’s School of Hard Knocks but he later joined UPW’s Ultimate University where Kendrick was an instructor at the time. Brian Kendrick was recently in the WWE Cruiserweight Classic and Joey Ryan will be coming in fresh off a tour with DDT Pro in Japan.

The show will also a feature a four women tournament, with the Christina Von Eerie‘s Q Pro women’s title on the line. The tournament will include Nicole Savoy, AWS women’s champion Hudson Envy, Shayna Baszler, and Christina Von Eerie.

Earlier today it was announced that a classic SoCal tag-team match will be taking place when Ray Rosas and “Pretty” Peter Avalon of H.A.T.E take on Kevin Martenson and YUMA of Vermin. Over the last ten years only four times have the Young Bucks not won the Southern California tag-teeam of the year award, and these two teams account for three of those times.

Here is the announced card so far:
