This event was the 2nd show from this promotion & overall it was another decent show for those in attendance. Once again, the attendance was small but with a 9pm start time & not enough time to promote this show, may have led to the small attendance for this show. But none the less, this show continues to showcase the talent throughout Southern California whom we come to know & cheer or boo for but everyone in attendance left satisfied from this show. This is a show with only 2 shows under their belt puts on a great show if you give it a chance & attend. But with that being said as to my Match of the Night, I felt these matches took top honors:
Mikey O’Shea vs Chino vs PPA
Leo Blaze vs Che Cabrera
RockNes Monsters vs Muscle Cats
Joey Ryan vs Ray Rosas
O’shea vs Chino vs PPA: Mikey O’shea continues to show dominance with every match he competes in. No matter who he faces or in this case how many times he wrestled, he shows he’s a force to be recon with. Sexy Chino despite not having the size or strength when he goes into his matches, continues to entertain the fans with his dance moves & you can’t help to root for this underdog. O’shea vs Chino was your typical squash match but it was entertaining.
Pretty Peter Avalon is another favorite among the fans with his “Adult” oriented antics but when he faced O’shea, PPA continues to elevate his game in this hard hitting match up despite being on the losing end.
Blaze/Cabrera had a great match mixing a bit of classic wrestling, quickness & technic. Both men seem to compliment each other very well in this match up. Kudos to both Che Cabrera & Leo Blaze on this match.
RockNes/Muscle Cats: this match showcased the muscle cats who are 2 of Brian Kendricks students & pitting them against a verteran tag team like the RockNes Monster, brought Churchill & Huxley to a whole new level of competition. Nothing more can be said about RockNes Monsters that has already been said, both Yuma & Goodtime are extraordirnary talents in So Cal destine for greatness. Its only a matter of time we’ll see them gracing PPV’s with one of the big companies or traveling internationally to challenge for Tag team championships against some of the world’s best wrestlers.
Ryan/Rosas: Both men brought their “A”game into this match. Both men are similar in styles & in personality. Adding a “Sleaze off” in the beginning of their match, got the fans hot throughout the whole match cheering for both men. This match was back & fourth, hard fought & stiff which gave the fans a match to talk about. Also both Ryan & Rosas hit numerous signatures only to get a 2 count when going for the pin giving the fans the idea of, “How will they top that move”. In the end, the champ proveiled & both competitors showed sportsmanship to one another & end the night on a high note.
As of now, it was mentioned that the next possible show may be on Aug. 9th but with PWG in town, Wrestling Pro Wrestling may choose another date.
