Joey Ryan’s time in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla came to an end Saturday Night at the hands of Scorpio Sky’s Ace of Spades. Joey was one of the original six owners of PWG and enjoyed much success with the group. Joey was the first PWG Champion to defend the title outside of the United States, upgrading the title to a World Championship and was a multi-tag team champion. Joey said he would return to PWG when his TNA schedule would allow him. Joey is still currently the EWF Heavyweight Champion and is scheduled to have his final match for them against Brandon Gatson this Friday, December 7th in Covina. Ryan is threatening to take the EWF Title with him to TNA. Thanks to Joey, for all the years of entertainment you provided the fans of Southern California.
Millennium Pro Wrestling’s final event of the year was “Toys for Tots” event. With 200 people in attendance and 40 toys donated for the Toys for Tots program, organizers for MPW were very excited. In the Main Event, Logan Xavier retained his MPW Heavyweight Championship against JJ Steele. Plans are in the works for the California Classic Battle Royal on January 5th.
