This Chaos Column is a recap of AWS Promotions’ Summer Heat #3 from the Frank & Sons Collectibles Show, City of Industry on August 25th 2012.  With the cooler weather that set in over the weekend, more fans were able to attend this one than the one held on a hot July Saturday.

1 – Ricky Mandel p. Big Duke w/ a Cricufix Rollup, w/ both feet on the middle ropes that were not caught by the referee.

2 – Peter Avalon & Ray Rosas def. Hector Canales & Todd Chandler (who subbed for an injured SoCal Crazy) when PPA p. Todd Chandler w/ a team finisher.

3 – An essentially non-title tag team match. AWS Tag Team Champions Shane & Shannon Ballard (w/ Golddigger, but didn’t have their title belts w/ them) def. Dragon Mask & Riki De La Paz. Good tag team battle ended w/ Shane Ballard pinning Dragon Mask. After the bell, The Suburban Commandos (T-Rent & D-Unit), who stopped by on their way to American Legion Post #716 in Los Alamitos for their BPW match later that night, challenged the Ballards for the tag team titles at the next AWS show.

4 – Sindarin got the DQ win over Lil Cholo to remain the AWS Lightweight Champion. Things got intriguing when Cedric The Hitman was spotted at ringside, allegedly doing his part to help Sindarin out. Turned out that wasn’t quite the case after Cedric’s briefcase shot found Sindarin’s head to cause the DQ, and a bit of “investigation” by Lil Cholo ended in a post-match beatdown on Cedric.

5 – Extreme Loco successfully defended the AWS Heavyweight Championship, pinning Johnny Paradise w/ the Sidewinder Slam in a very good title match.

6 – After intermission, B-Boy p. Johnny Yuma in another very good singles match. B-Boy picked apart Yuma’s left knee throughout most of this match.

SM – Hudson Envy p. Candice LeRae (w/ Mondo Vega) w/ what looked like a Forward Cartwheel Kick. Mondo Vega’s extended distraction on Referee Justin Borden may’ve opened up Candice to hit her Raccoon Neckbreaker on Hudson, but it turned out the other way, which was stamped when Mondo turned his back on Candice w/ a post-match beatdown, and took the young EWF talent “under his wing”.

M – Scorpio Sky p. Paul London w/ a spinning kick to the face after dodging the Shooting Star Press, capping what was the match of the card.
