The Staples Center is located at 1111 S Figueroa St., in Downtown Los Angeles, CA, 90015. The Staples Center opened October 17, 1999 and is home to the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Kings, and the Los Angeles Sparks, along with concerts and other sporting/entertainment events. The arena has also played host to multiple World Wrestling Entertainment and Ultimate Fighting Championshipevents. The first wrestling event to take place at the Staples Center was a love broadcast of WWF Raw Is War and taping of Jakked on November 29th, 1999. The fight Mixed Martial Arts event at the arena took place on May 27th, 2006,when the Ultimate Fighting Championship presented UFC 60: Hughes vs. Gracie featuring BJ Penn vs. Royce Gracie in the main event. World Championship Wrestling held one event at Staples Center on January 24th, 2000 for Monday Nitro.
