Bar Wrestling Announces Lineup For The Midnight Hour on New Year’s Eve

Bar Wrestling has announced the roster for its New Year’s Eve show, The Midnight Hour, in Baldwin Park. The Midnight Hour will be the first pro-wrestling event to be held on December 31 in Southern California since 2005. The event will also feature Brody King’s last independent wrestling appearance in the United States outside of PWG.

The announced roster for The Midnight Hour includes Tommy Dreamer, Session Moth Martina, Darby Allin, Priscilla Kelly, Brian Cage, Melissa Santos, Joey Ryan, Willie Mack, Violence Unlimited (Brody King and Tyler Bateman), Kikutaro, Nicole Savoy, DoomFly (Delilah Doom and Eli Everfly), PPRay (Peter Avalon and Ray Rosas), Katarina, Dan Barry, Heather Monroe, LuchaSaurus, Ruby Raze, Watts, RockNES Monsters (BHK and YUMA), Jake Atlas, Ryan Taylor, Brandon Cutler, Andy Brown, and Dave Dutra.

Brody King, who made his Ring of Honor debut on December 15, will be making his final United States independent wrestling appearance outside of Pro Wrestling Guerilla at the event. King signed a contract with Ring of Honor that goes into effect on January 1, 2019. The event will also mark King’s 20th match in Bar Wrestling. He will join Joey Ryan, LuchaSaurus, Brian Cage, Ray Rosas, and Peter Avalon as the only wrestlers to have made 20 or more appearances in the promotion.

Ireland’s Session Moth Martina will be making her Southern California debut, and only fourth United States appearance, at The Midnight Hour. Her three previous United States appearances all took part in Louisiana during this year’s Wrestlemania weekend.

Martina will be one of seven wrestlers making their Bar Wrestling debut at the event, joining Darby Allin, Jake Atlas, Brandon Cutler, Ryan Taylor, Dave, Dutra, and Andy Brown.

When asked about the matchups for the event, we were told that they would not be announced in advance and will be a mystery for the event.

The last New Year’s Eve pro-wrestling event in Southern California was AWS’s New Year’s Eve Square Off in 2005. That event featured Adam Pearce defeating the Hardkore Kidd Aaron Aguilera in the main event. Prior to the AWS show, there had not been a New Year’s pro-wrestling event in the area since 1966.

Bar Wrestling’s The Midnight Hour is taking place at American Legion #241 in Baldwin Park, CA. Bell time is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. Tickets cost $25.00 in advance at $40.00 at the door and are available now at Brown Paper Tickets.
