SoCal News & Notes 11/24/2016

SoCal News & Notes is back with a special Thanksgiving edition with an update on the recently announced Real F’n Wrestling show, Championship Wrestling from Hollywood, PCW, Sabotage, SoCal Pro, SCWA, and more. Click to read today’s update from around the Southern California wrestling scene.

Real F’n Wrestling, who announced their debut show in Midway City on April 22, 2017 a little more than a week ago, looks to have disappeared before they even began. Over the last few days all of their social media accounts have disappeared and e-mails sent to them have bounced back. The link to purchase tickets for their event is now showing as unavailable as well. When the venue was contacted to confirm if they have a wrestling show booked for April 22, they advised they have nothing on their calendar for that day.

B-Boy will be facing Tyler Bateman for the United Television Championship at December 4th’s Championship Wrestling from Hollywood show in Port Hueneme. Recently Bateman and B-Boy have been involved in something of a secret feud, with matches all over Southern California over the past few months and several more upcoming.

Pacific Coast Wrestling has announced the second match for their January 20, 2017 show when Keepers of the Faith (Dom Vitalli and Gabriel Gallo) will defend their PCW tag-team titles against the team of Almighty Sheik and Fatu, who are calling themselves “Warbeast.” Willie Mack taking on Rob Van Dam for the PCW Heavyweight title was previously announced. Khloe Hurtz (Katie Forbes) challenging Santana Garrett for the WOW championship was announced at last week’s WOW show as taking place on the show, but PCW hasn’t officially confirmed the match other than stating their will be a WOW match as a special attraction.

Heather Monroe and Mazzerati are the 9th and 10th wrestlers announced for Sabotage’s 16 women title tournament on February 18, 2017. The first round will consist of tag-team matches, with announced teams of Delilah Doom & Buggy Nova, Ray Lyn & Ruby Raze, Kimmy Shellhammer & Sage Sin, and Kaitlin Diemond & Allie Kat.

Anchors Away (David E. Jones & Ryan Stone) will be putting their careers on the line when they challenge PBR (Hunter Freeman & Ryan Walker) for the SoCal Pro tag-team titles on SoCal Pro’s January 14, 2017 show “New Years Retribution.”

Will Roberts is another wrestler that is off December 3rd’s SCWA in East Los Angeles, though we are told he is out due to injury. As we reported yesterday Douglas James, Heather Monroe, Ryan Taylor, and Jorel Nelson are all off the show due to money issues.

Thunder Rosa was unsuccessful in her bid to win the Stardom High Speed Championship on November 23rd in Fukuoka, Japan when Mayu Iwatani defeated her in 12 minutes and 44 seconds with a Dragon Suplex. Taya Valkyrie was also defeated by Io Shirai in 17 minutes and 11 seconds when she challenged for the World of Stardom Championship.
