San Diego’s Finest City Wrestling announced earlier today they will be holding monthly show at their school, Battle U, called the Sunday Show. The first Sunday Show will be taking place on July 17th, to start off FCW’s Comic Con week that will include two shows taking place during the San Diego Comic Con International on July 22nd and 23rd.
The Sunday Show is designed to be a little smaller than FCW’s regular shows at the Imperial Beach Boys and Girls Club while introducing new wrestlers to FCW. Eventually the shows will likely be used to get students of their school experience before appearing on the main FCW shows, much in the same UPW used to run what they called Lite Shows in conjunction with their big shows. With UPW it was a very successful concept for bringing in talent to the promotion and it is where wrestlers such as Scott Lost, Joey Ryan, and Melina Perez made their first appearances in UPW.
FCW’s inaugural Sunday show will feature a main event of the FCW champion and 2015 Southern California wrestler of the year B-Boy facing Brody King in a non title match. Additionally FCW XRT champion Danny Limelight will be facing one of his original trainers in SoCal Crazy.
Also announced for the debut Sunday show are a triple threat match featuring Eli Everfly versus Biagio Crescenzo versus Donnie Suarez, Ju Dizz versus Average Joe, and Corey Jackson versus Matt Twizted.
The show will start at 2:00 PM with doors opening at 1:30. Battle U is located at 171 Mace St, Unit A1 in Chula Vista, CA. Admission is $10 with kids 12 and under being free.
