The Apex Pro Heavyweight Championship changed hands twice on Saturday Night August 16th. Tyler “The Butcher” Bateman defeated SoCal Crazy in their match, to become the new Champion, however the reign would be short lived. Bateman and Robby Phoenix attacked SoCal Crazy. Brandon Gatson came to the aide of Crazy. Bateman challenged Gatson (who won the 2014 Apex Pro Golden State Battle Royal, winning an opportunity to cash in a title match at any time of his choosing) to cash it in. Gatson agreed and defeated Bateman to become the first 2 time Apex Pro Heavyweight Champion.
