of the Battleground Pro’s “Divided We Brawl” event at the Boys & Girls club of La Habra on Saturday, April 12th, 2014.
I, Mike Draven had the pleasure of being the ring announcer for this event as I welcomed a hot crowd to the show.
“The Emo Behemoth” Pinky def Famous B with a Choke to Sleep finisher in a strong opening contest.
“The Puerto Rican Destroyer” Seville the Thrill def Jacob “The Riot” Diez (w/Lizzie Sunshine) when Seville delivered a Double Foot stomp from the top rope onto Diez & Sunshine.
Triple Threat Match:
“The Butcher” Tyler C. Bateman (w/Raze) def Foob Dawg & “The Urban Juggernaut” Sean Black when Bateman hit a Lariet Clothesline on Foob Dawg.
Nicole Savoy def “Ultra Girl” Brittnay Wonder via “Hells Gate” Triangle Choke submission.
Pacific Coast Championship:
“Unothodox” Levi Shapiro def “The Russian Wolf” Alexis Darevko with a Spinning back fist for the win & retained the championship.
Main Event 6 man Tag Team Match:
Devil Mountain Champion The Riv, Battleground Pro Champion Mikey O’Shea & Action Coast Champion Sasha “The Great” Darevko def Robby Phoenix, Tito Escondido & Rico Dynamite when O’Shea delivered a Gunslinger onto Phoenix but Darevko superkicked O’Shea & covered Phoenix for the win. Afterwards an upset locker room chased Darevko out of the building.
This was my 1st opportunity to see Battleground Pro Wrestling & must say I was impressed. The Boys & Girls club drew a good amount of Hot Fans who enjoyed every match on the card. The entire roster gave 100% in their matches & overall I felt that each match was just top notch.
So much great chemistry, technical wrestling was shown by everyone & with that for the 2nd time since starting my Match of the Night, I give the entire show of BPW’s Divided We Brawl the Match of the Night with each match being great, impactful & entertaining.
