BTWNCHAOSNORDER’S gives a recap of Pro Wrestling Coalition “Rise of the Coalition” inagural show at the Gym of Bloomington High School, Bloomington, CA on April 14th 2012. Over $1,500 was raised from ticket sales & other sales for the school’s football & amateur wrestling programs, which only meant a large turnout for this show, with Lalo Gonzales as the promoter. Local independent band “So Far Left” performed before the show, and during intermission.
1 – Chris Kadillak p. “Pretty” Peter Avalon w/ a Facebreaker off of his Shooting Star Cannonball.
2 – SoCal Crazy made Freddy Bravo tapout to his Crossface/LeBell Lock submission.
3 – Terex p. Johnny Saovi w/ the 400-lb. Standing Moonsault, and this was despite Terex technically playing the heel here. Not a good confidence booster for Johnny Saovi going into his 3rd “Gauntlet Match” This Friday at the IWL “Higher” iPPV.
4 – Anchors Away (David E. Jones & Ryan Stone) def. TMDK (Shane Haste & Mikey Nichols) when David E. Jones rolled up & pinned Shane Haste after a low blow behind the back of Referee Chris Massie. A few of the BHS students took some kayfabe shots at Ryan Stone early on, when the teams brawled outside the ring.
5 – After intermission, Scorpio Sky p. Joey Ryan w/ the Ace of Spades in a great match.
SM – B-Boy p. Jarek Matthews w/ the Corner Dropkick, followed by the Top Rope Double Stomp, then the Shining Wizard. This one, to me, in terms of pure wrestling, was the match of the night.
M – Kid Caramba & BHS Teacher Erwin Schaefer def. Big Duke & BHS Student Marcus Vargas. It seemed pretty even early on, but apparently, Big Duke pissed off the BHS Student Body enough for Marcus Vargas to actually get on Big Duke for his beatdown on Erwin Schaefer. Obviously, Big Duke didn’t like it, and that eventually led to Kid Caramba pinning Big Duke. Anchors Away ran in to try to unload on the two BHS Bruins, but were ran off by some of the professional wrestlers in the back.
On 6/9, right back at the BHS Gym, Anchors Away & Big Duke will take on Kid Caramba, Jarek Matthews, & BHS Wrestling Coach Greg Schaefer, who was busy serving the USA as part of the California Air National Guard at this time
